stellar

Great light - I can almost feel the snow blowing in the air - hunched shoulders and shadows - a moment literally frozen in time.

Outstanding! I love shots taken into the light. I don't comment on every photo but had to express my delight about the visual effect that I experience with this one. Maybe it was cold and windy there but to me, this is all about light, atmosphere and how the image stirs my senses and fulfills my desire for artistic sustenance. The photo is a piece of art and to an image lover is a welcome event in one's day. Thanks for posting it Sam.

One can see from the photo that it must have been really cold. I love the colours and the light.. those reflections on the wall far right look familiar, I think I remember them from another of your photographs

That snow blowing around and glistening in the sunlight looks very nice!

BTW: I sometimes encounter availability problems with your blog. Is it due to heavy traffic? Can we help it?

It looks warm under the cold weather as I was attracted by this image at first sight. Nice!!

The latest winter pics are a bit mundane... thanks for the effort though :)

Brrrrr...That looks really cold! You captured the atmosphere really well, it caused me to pull the collar of my sweater up tighter around my neck.

How did you protect the camera againts the weather ?

Like the the light and shadow effects.

Yep, looks like that here in Montreal... minus the sun. Great shot. Oh and don't expect to see one of Montreal. There's no way I'm braving that weather today! ;-)

Wow, great effect of the sun and the blowing snow! Perfectly represents a very cold winter day in Toronto...

Compared to down here, everybody there dresses so light for that kind of weather. People here would be so bundled up they couldn't hardly walk. I love seeing the snow pictures. It's something we don't see around here. Have any more?

I can feel that moment in my bones. I love the lighting. Went down that street last night on the 'car.

Oh! I used to work in that building (the purple one out of sight on the right, whose parking lot you are at). But I never saw it like that - you;ve got the eye, Sam...!

great shot sam! it's funny, yesterday i took a picture of the blowing snow in the sun similar to this. what a beautiful sight.

Nearly missed looking today and the image is an artfull whacker. Frozen perfection.

Misery is possibly too often dramatically attractive. But hey, it looks good.

That shot does not make me homesick in the least. Up here, it is cold, often it is damned cold. However, down there with the humidity, it feels much, much worse.

I like that you caught the blowing snow in it. This is nice!

This is a really, really lovely shot in light and colour and mood and feel and composition - thanks so much for sharing it, Sam! We have to appreciate winters while we still have them!

Absolutely breathtaking. The contrast of light and shadows is stellar.

Great light, you can see the ice blown around in the air. Looks freezing and you have to love that classic hands in pockets "I'm freezing" pose!
