Very nice composition, great photo. The building almost looks like its going into the cloud.

Scary cloud! Nice picture!

Beautiful tone!

Great. I spent a few days in Toronto once and I remember those skies. Why does Toronto have so much more sky than other cities?

Like a rough feeling.
I think I have to explain, like always!
The yellow light feels like BARZAKH and I feel on comfortable in it.
But as usual the photo is perfect.
Can you take a bad photo?!
Don't think so.

It looks like quite a storm was brewing. Very nice composition.

Wow! We have a similar looking Hilton in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Dramatic picture. Nice HDR combo.

Well, definitly a high impact sky! Those clouds are ominous...

Sam, this is gorgeous, you have really captured twilight in one of my favourite areas!

VERY NICE SHOT ... TQ

I have followed for years now and always in awe..and this is prob the first pic I ever saw from you that is a clear photoshop job. Sorry, but the Canada life building is too sharpened compared to the clouds in the back. I know we all have our bad days though ;)

Nice shot Sam! The Canada Life building is the weather forecaster of Toronto. When the light is green, skies are clear. When the light is flashing red, rain. When its white, there's snow. When the lights are running up, the weather is getting warmer and down for cooler. During the day the forecast is for the rest of the day and at night it is for the next day. If there are no lights, someone needs to get up there and change a few bulbs ;)

Interesting shot with lots of detail!

I've been lurking around this site since the Bloggies voting, and I think I'm here to stay. Especially when you capture incredible clouds like these (I have an unhealthy obsession with cloud pictures). Thanks for making my mornings.

The clouds look so amazing against the glass tower. Who knew there were so many shades of grey? Lovely photo!

سام عزیز..این تصویر یکی از بهترین کارهای توست..موفق باشی..

My eyes are drawn immediately to the "Canada Life" building... Lovely shot, though that cloud does look pretty ominous.

I know nothing about photography, but I'm drawn to your pictures of my hometown. I'm an hour away at the University of Waterloo, and have no idea how I happened upon this site, but I'm glad I did. Now I have a taste of home in my dorm room!

Esta bien suave esta foto. Nice pic

The most interesting part in this photo is the skyscraper at the right which streches over the whole height of the picture. That's fantastic even though it's strongly manipulated, isn't it?

From Gizmodo

http://www.gizmodo.com/

A bit of bad news about Vista if you're a photographer. Apparently if you tag a photo's metadata in Vista, it destroys other important metadata used by image editing apps such as Photoshop. Microsoft's gotten reports of RAW files generated by Nikon cameras being unreadable after being tagged with Vista or Microsoft's Photo Info tool.

What can you do? Well, Microsoft's asking camera vendors to make processing plugins for Vista that don't make images unreadable, but for the mean time we'd just recommend not updating to Vista until everything's fixed. Or just not tagging your stuff in Vista. – Jason Chen

Wow, that cloud certainly adds some drama. The red tail lights save the street from gloominess with a little bit of life. The Canada Life building looks quite distinctive. Nice Photo. Cheers.

This shot isn't just taken as you walked on by! You must have had an tripod with you, because it doesn't look realy natural. The building is much to expressive and the sky, which isn't that far away seems miles away!
I like the shot, but photoshop has done a lot for this pic, am I right or nor?

Posted by Puck at February 9, 2007 10:19 PM

Wow! That's beautiful!
