Except that the logo in question is of the Office line.
Posted by Aayush Iyer at February 3, 2007 03:34 AMvery neat
Posted by sam at February 3, 2007 03:39 AMcool! But I would not suppose that you need a coat hanger inside an ice house.. who would be taking their coats off in there? ;)
Posted by Susie at February 3, 2007 04:10 AM"Coool" subject. the coat hanger gives it an interesting twist. very sharp too
Posted by Ryano at February 3, 2007 04:14 AMFantastic shot
Posted by fabrizio at February 3, 2007 04:43 AMLove the texture in this image, nice work Sam
Posted by Craig at February 3, 2007 05:42 AMReally cool picture, i like the transparency of the ice wall and how everything seems out of proportion.
Posted by elaine at February 3, 2007 07:37 AMIs Bill Gates trying to be cool?
Interesting shot in its graphic abstractness, Sam!
Posted by Kathy at February 3, 2007 08:46 AMUh? What? Just exactly what is that coat hanger there for?
As to Windows Vista - I wasted over half an hour trying to find out one little fact about it in their junk info site. Not one word could I find as to how it handles EXIF data. An e mail to them elicits absolutely nothing - useless.
What a pack of dork dunces they are. A huge fancy bells and whistles graphic junk pile. Damn them and all the others putting out confused amateurish garbage like that and NO service that explains it properly at all - bizarre. And Bill Gates smiles his dumb smile. Crap!
Posted by Hugh Petrie at February 3, 2007 09:21 AMI think this is GREAT! Nice one.
Posted by Daniel Seguin at February 3, 2007 09:31 AMGreat shot! Not sure it'll make me want to get Vista though!
Posted by Adam at February 3, 2007 10:00 AMاین بهترینی بود که من تا به حال اینجا دیدم.البته همه عکسهای اینجا جزو بهترینها هستن
Posted by Mansour at February 3, 2007 10:06 AMAw, man. I sure hope this doesn't mean that Vista is going to "hang" a lot.
Posted by Peruby at February 3, 2007 11:20 AMnow thats a cool shot...
Posted by david macdonald at February 3, 2007 11:38 AMvery nice!
Posted by Andreas at February 3, 2007 12:32 PMI passed by it on the other side of the street but I didn't know there was an ice house...
In a response to the first guys comment, they were promoting the new office as well as Vista. (I heard that on the megaphone)
Posted by David at February 3, 2007 02:03 PMHey, just wanted to say I stumbled across your site and think your photos are amazing, due in part to the fact that I adore Toronto and can't wait to go back this summer.
I linked you on my completely pointless blog that no one yet reads.
Take it easy.

Posted by Brad M. at February 3, 2007 05:13 PMWahoo! Cool ; )
Posted by Kalikea at February 3, 2007 05:51 PMLike the gray texture here. Very sharp and well-lighted.
Posted by Mohamadreza at February 3, 2007 05:56 PMhey sam, i haven't commented before but i've been checking your site for the past several weeks and i've been going back in time whenever i can. anyways, i love the site and your work!
i walk past dundas square everyday and it never would've occured to me to photograph the ice house. i also think that the subject matter lends itself well to the gray weather that we've been having lately. nice shot.
Posted by alounsbury at February 3, 2007 07:34 PMNice! How long is it going to be up for?
Posted by Alex at February 3, 2007 09:35 PMIce house??? Hmmm...is that a metaphor for how Microsoft leaves you out in the cold...Sorry I just couldn't resist. I'm kinda like an ex-smoker speaking out vehemently on the evils of smoking when it comes to Microsoft, I guess, since I'm a fairly recent convert to Mac and will never look back.
I love the photo. The composition with the hanger is very interesting.
Posted by Laurie at February 3, 2007 11:06 PMI was wondering how long it was going to be before something vista-related came up.
Posted by Ben Kennedy at February 4, 2007 12:00 AMThe light through the ice is visually confusing. It's amazing how flat the overall image looks. Very interesting subject.
Posted by Billy at February 4, 2007 01:32 AMThat's pretty nice textures, I really like the graphic aspect of the compo.
Posted by Laurent at February 5, 2007 10:07 AMVery good composition! I like the contrasts and the abstracts forms!
