great shot of Piazza della Signoria....Palazzo Vecchio is standing front and center, just like it should =]. I went to Florence in 2001, and this makes me feel like I was just there yesterday.

Funny Sam, I was just describing this exact piazza to a friend of mine in order to look at the Perseus and Medusa sculpture to the right. Great timing...Cheers!

Do you have any of the Rape of the Sabine Women? I know it sounds sick...but it's my favorite sculpture.

I like the way the large triangle of foreground shadow and lovely deep sky contain the subject and give depth to the scene. It is alive with life and the nearer people, including the guy sitting in the shadows just set it off beautifully.

A very beautiful photo. I am going to school in Firenze right now and this captures the feeling I get every day perfectly. The Palazzo Vecchio is awe inspiring and colossal, yet warm and inviting. It makes me feel like I am part of humanity, something that modern architecture lacks.
