for a minute I didn't see the legs! hehe
I was like, "What couple??"
great change of pace sam!
Posted by shane j montgomery at December 20, 2006 03:01 AMit's funny :))
Posted by transparente at December 20, 2006 03:13 AMThoughtfully focused and composed.
Posted by Gavin Hart at December 20, 2006 03:22 AMNice One!!!
Posted by adel at December 20, 2006 03:42 AMI love the way the knees are in such sharp focus. The image needs the caption though, as it took me a few seconds to work out where the "couple" was! Mind you, I could just be extraordinarily dim. ;)
Posted by PoshPaws at December 20, 2006 04:42 AMHaha! That's a great one, Sam. Took me a few seconds, and once I had found them, I looked at the title.
Posted by Gloria at December 20, 2006 04:53 AMIt took me a while to observe... But now when I do... I like it!
Posted by Ovidiu at December 20, 2006 06:02 AMVery clever!!! I like it!
Posted by Laurie at December 20, 2006 06:27 AMgood focus on the knees!
Posted by vg at December 20, 2006 07:39 AMI like this, it has an almost soothing dreamlike quality to it.
The couple on the grass are probably staring at the clouds and making shapes out of them. What a great way to spend a summer day!
the blurs seem artificial to me, anyway, nice idea
Posted by moritz at December 20, 2006 08:02 AMFrom far away, I thought it was a picture of a man on a horse. That ivy is deceiving.
Posted by Andrew at December 20, 2006 08:46 AMGreat shot. Interesting idea of composing so just their knees are in view. Great job!
Posted by Alice at December 20, 2006 09:32 AMNow that is funny! Your fast eyes at work to catch that one. One wonders what they are sitting/lying on in such a place?
I also find the soft colors of the scene intersting in how unusual they seem. Cream and green with knees.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at December 20, 2006 09:32 AMits cool how you chose a narrow depth of field to focus on the legs.
Posted by Andrew at December 20, 2006 10:02 AMCan you believe that I loved your site SO much that I was motivated enough to click every "day before" button & look at every single photo you posted.
My camera broke back in May (I'm not quite a professional however), and I'm missing it terribly and can't afford to have it fixed. Looking at your photos definitely inspire me. I'm getting a new camera for Christmas and I will definitely be visiting your site, and commenting a lot more.
Again, great shots... looking forward to each morning post :)
Posted by nancy at December 20, 2006 10:25 AMThere is so much detail in the photo besides the couple's knees that it makes it hard to see the subject at first.
Posted by Vlad at December 20, 2006 10:33 AMfunny that only the knees are in focus.. no doubt at all as to what is the subject of the photo. Made me smile :)
Posted by Susie at December 20, 2006 11:12 AMFunny shot. For a moment i was saying to myself this is it? But then i read you comment and paid some more attention...
the soft focus on everything except the knees is a nice touch
you have an amazing eye to spot such fine detail in th world
Posted by payam at December 20, 2006 11:52 AMLove the DOF and composition, excellent work Sam.
