lovely noir shot!
cheers,
I love the wet pavement and the reflections on it. The green light is also nice. The image is complex and has much detail which makes it very entertaining to visually explore.
Posted by Gavin Hart at December 12, 2006 02:32 AMGorgeous photographs as always.
I have a dear friend who works at the Toronto hospital core I would love a picture of that area
near Toronto sick childrens hospital.
Your photographs are fabulous!
A very nice angle!
Posted by Jonas at December 12, 2006 08:16 AMwide angle! i'm guessing you shot this at ISO 1600? (judging from the grain in the sky, or is that rain...)
Posted by jesse at December 12, 2006 08:34 AMGreat shot. I like the reflections of light in the water puddles on the ground!
Posted by Alice at December 12, 2006 09:33 AMwow!!!!
Posted by shula at December 12, 2006 09:38 AMI see what seems like a bit of camera movement during the exposure. But it hardly detracts from this sort of image. You do have a steady hand, Sam.
You do have a sort of love affair with that building , don't you?
Posted by Hugh Petrie at December 12, 2006 09:43 AMStunning night shot, the detail is excellent Sam.
Posted by Craig at December 12, 2006 09:44 AMAmazing!
Posted by harrysoms at December 12, 2006 09:52 AMNice and clean. I like the night shots. Great reflections from the wet ground.

Posted by Pop9 at December 12, 2006 12:26 PMHow did you get that shot to come out so clear at night??? What lense did you use?
Posted by Bruce at December 12, 2006 01:49 PMBonsoir,
Vry nice shot! Frame, dof, light, all is well done! Bravo!
very nice reflection, color.
Posted by effat at December 12, 2006 06:17 PMi like the puddles, but there is no subject.
Posted by Andrew at December 12, 2006 09:08 PMBeautiful shot, Sam, and I watched the moon come up here about 100 km east of you after 9:00 pm a couple of nights ago. So .. all these lights are still on in downtown TO! I am disheartened as I thought people were getting the message that we are energy pigs and we have to cut back on energy use. WE HAVE TO.
I think the wet streets make this shot. Fantastic!!!

I enjoy looking at your photographs on a daily basis. My younger brother lives in Toronto, (I live in Perth Western Australia) and I recently returned from visiting him there. Your photographs evoke many pleasant memories of this fantastic city and also allow a sense of closeness to my brother as I can imagine him in his daily pursuits through your photos.
He works at the Jamie Kennedy Wine bar on Church Street. I would love to see some snaps of this area! Thanks.
Cool shot. The reflections on the road is making this shot even better
