Hi Sam, This is so nice. I luv the reflection of white here. I'm hoping to visit Quebec soon after being inspired this awesome beauty. As usual, one more GEM by you!

awesome. Great colour, or rather, the lack of it.

Posted by tuan at December 6, 2006 07:47 AM

Wow, excellent shot. I've only seen these falls in water, peppered with ice-climbers. Very impressive in full movement.

Spectacular perspective Sam. As always, great image.

Great shot! The people included in the shot, really add a lot to the perspective and help show just how big the falls are. Keep up the great work!

whoa, those falls look different from this view.
nice shot.

Wow. That's awesome!

this is the best shot I've seen in a week. There are two stories to this one image...which is really quite nice. The wet concrete vs. the wet cliff rocks, water vs. sky , bridge vs stairs...alot of visual storytelling. The tones are nicely controlled to bring these out as well. Nice one.

This photo is amazing. The falls alone are breathtaking, but the people in white ponchos further down... simply brilliant. I love this shot!

Looks like every day's gonna be a wet day at Montmorency Falls! Nice shot!

First thing that comes to my mind, as fellow photographer: How did you keep the camera dry? They aren't exaclty sealed for the rain and mist, though I've noted how often you seem to be out in the rain with your cameras. Do you use an umbrella?

As to the results, it is interesting to me that the emensity of the falls is so well covered without your 11 - 22 lens. That a 25 mm focal length gets this is impressive. I wish I had a monitor that would show it top to bottom same size/resolution. B&W makes it look wetter I think. Excellent picture.

Hi Sam, do you think you could post this on flickr? I'd like to direct my nephew and his family in Montreal to the picture (he has a new EOS30D he is learning to use) and ask him whether he's been there... and give him something to chew on with his camera...

Thanks again for your great work, and I do think Bolsena (a general comment on previous posts) will have to get on my list of what I can't miss when/if I get back to Italy...

I took the exact same shot!! :D exept for the ppl...damn!:P

I like the two guys running down the stairs.
Impressive shot!

The small people on the bridge make it for me. Did you get any shots with a longer focal length of just that bridge over the falls? Could work for a good image too.

Sam,

When did you change your name to Ansel Adams?

Posted by modernmod at December 7, 2006 03:33 PM

Amazing. You always surprise on the long scrolls with an interesting portion at the bottom. This looks like a slight desaturation and the effect is great!
