Comments: superman and biker

Eye catching subject matter in this shot and an interesting composition of three pictures in one, Superman, the cyclist and the market in the background. Great piece of chalk art too.

Hey Sam, that guy is looking right at you. You must have been a bit conspicuous there with your camera. Maybe he thought you were Clark Kent!

Nice timing for this shot. I think the chalk drawing thing is really picking up. Cheers!

Cool - Looks like someone tried to copy Alex Ross' Superman paintings. Not a bad job, especially with chalk.

"Look! Down on the sidewalk! It's a bird, it's a plane......."

Sam,
When did you take this picture? That's my old roommate!!! I never imagined I would ever look at your site and see someone I know!!! It's been over a year since I've seen him so thank you for a random shot that just happened to have him in it.

Sam, I like the contrast here between ordinary and fantastic.

Who is the chalk artist?

It may seem odd to find Superman on the streets of a Canadian city. However, the original artist - Joseph Shuster - was born here.

Joe was a newspaper boy in the 1920s for the Toronto Daily Star (now Toronto Star). That paper's headquarters was on King Street, about 12 blocks from the location of the photo.

I've always liked Alex Ross's rendition of superman. I'm gonna check this out today and see if it's done!

I can almost read his mind. "Did I get in the shot?"

I love your wide angle shots... this is no exception. Well done!

Amazing shot. There's this odd quality of a flat superman and a speeding regular man. It's as if, super as he is, he just can't get off the page (or the sidewalk), and we mortals look on and wonder why.

Wow, now there's something you don't see everyday.

The face of the superman looks like a picture. Was that a painting or was that a photograph

Whenever I see sidewalk drawings I avoid stepping on them at all costs. It'd be like skipping on Starry Night!

Awesome! But then again, I'm a little partial to Superman. Love your work. Please keep it up.
