Yet another rabbit out of the hat image. I do not know how you keep turning them out.

A perfect reminder of why I left the city. Life locked up in little box caves - at home or work. Fewer and fewer people spend their lives in the open air and sunshine.

That 10-22 lens surely keeps the virticals straight. You seem to have adopted regular use of it. I, on the other hand, tend to look for more telephoto in my views. But then, I can see 60 miles to the horizon where I live.

I hope your luck at finding more interesting subjects than this returns. But that's not allowing for you having special interest in this type of subject. It may bore me, but you do it well.

squires, squires, squires, squires, squires, squires, and squires. I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it!

Rain can be a great tool!

Very nice but I like yesterday's horizontal image a little better. In either case, I like the fact that you often feature pictures taken with the 10-22...its my favorite lens!

WOW excellent shot, love the vertical lines!

That is soooo cool!

When I scrolled to the bottom of this photo, it shocked me, because for a minute I thought the yellow-lighted building was on stilts and there was a view of city lights beneath it. Now I see there are only reflections at the bottom, but it was kind of fun having my mind blown.

What a great photographer you are! I admire your work immensely.

Oh yeah.... this is one of my favorites! Love the optical illusions and playful use of reflections and space.

Saw this on your flickr page and it is just astounding, as is the rest of your stream. You have some crazy great photo skills. Have been enjoying your stream...

Thanks!

This is just great, I absolutely love the reflected lights on the wet sidewalk after the rain. And, of course, your perspective totally rocks as always!

Hello Sam,
despite you're tripod, the picture isn't that sharp. Even with f9.. wonder how it comes?

Posted by michael at November 23, 2006 02:29 AM

Wow... very beautiful capture of all the lights!!! The reflections on the wet sidewalk are nice.

perfect shot samI, please mention to the architect too: Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

Posted by laze at November 23, 2006 07:12 PM

when i first looked at this one, it didnt strike me as much as the one from yesterday. but the more i look at it the more it grows on me. way to go with playing with perspective!

Hugh Petrie left the city because he's afraid of brown, black, and yellow people that talk with funny accents and have different clothes. Mies Van Der Rohe's beautiful creation in the style of his NYC masterpiece is not the reason.
