Comments: colourful peppers

I often wonder if I've ever seen you on the streets of Toronto... I see so many photographers walking around Toronto everyday and I'd like to think I've caught your eye once or twice and never knew it.

I appreciate your work yet know nothing about you. The mystery is pleasing. Keep on inspiring us with your work.

Excellente optique — la preuve, votre photo !!! Avec juste un bémol, imitée comme tous les EF-S aux petits capteurs Canon…

So crisp!

I like the angle, and the blend of colours. The somewhat glazed look on the front peppers is a nice touch too.

Your photos make me feel like im back home, even though im all the way in Montreal...

Thanks Sam, and keep up the good work!

Great photo, you`ll have tons of fun with your new lens. I own a couple of good lenses, but since i have a 2.8 60mm, actually since some weeks, it`s hard to use another one ;-))

Successful test!

Nice colours and detail - DOF is excellent!

Very nice use of the shallow DoF.

I've heard that 60mm is supposed to be a great portrait lens too. Enjoy. Look forward to the output.

Posted by Jonah at November 13, 2006 10:02 AM

Great macro. The colors and clarity are striking. I just received a 50mm 2.8 and can't wait to use it.

Posted by bryan at November 13, 2006 10:55 AM

I think you've got yourself a fine piece of glass sir. Love the bokeh and the colors. Cheers!

amazing depth of field, I like the colors also. Was this hand held?

One word > MIAM !

Posted by JM at November 13, 2006 11:58 AM

Peppers are such photogenic subjects. The colors, the smooth texture of their skin... And these raindrops add to the attractiveness. Great colors, DOF, and clarity.

Posted by Roberta at November 13, 2006 12:10 PM

Love the colours. You've got me craving peppers now, it's been so long since I last had one. xD

Posted by Maura at November 13, 2006 12:58 PM

very good stuff

Posted by pierre-Jean Pallez at November 13, 2006 01:32 PM

Gorgeous. I love peppers. They are beautiful and I can bite into them and eat them like apples.

Posted by Rhea at November 13, 2006 01:36 PM

this is what aperture does to your pic, the same thing at f8.0 would have looked half as good as this, good stuff man. The macro lens is indeed good, the level of detail even at varying depth (say in a 6-7 cm region) is great.

Posted by subiet at November 13, 2006 01:50 PM

Rich color and great depth of field.

Posted by Gabriel McIntosh at November 13, 2006 01:54 PM

All I can say is... Fabulous! Love the water drops, the colors are supremely well done, such a wonderful shot.

I love everything about this shot: the colors, the texture of the wet wood - absolutely gorgeous! Your photography never ceases to impress; thanks for sharing.

Please, please, please, post the full size file of this one. This would make an awesome mounted framed photograph for the kitchen.

A faithful fan.
