Comments: clothes in alley

beautiful textures, colours and enchanting light. However I'm sure that I would very quickly get sick of seeing other people's laundry displayed like that in such enchanting places ..

That worked really well on my monitor - the page opened to what looked like a fairly classic rural architecture shot... then I scrolled down to find the incongruous drying rack at the bottom :)

Well seen. It's a great contrast - both in style and tonal value.

Very intresting shot, full of opposites. old buildings todays peg, Dirty road, clean clothes, light shadow. Contaons and defines, most Mediterranean alleys - Italy - Greece - Spain.

You've managed to come up with 2 things of note. The need to clean clothes and find a place to dry them in any age.

Then there's the amazing buildings which are the setting. While I often comment on the decay in old places it often has a comfortable appeal to the eye, and these are colorful and marvelously textured walls and ironwork in a very artful nation.

You've done it again Sam.

i like the fact that you often post large vertical pictures. tons of detail.

I just love the textures of the old stone masonary work. The colours as well are nice and warm, wonderful attention to detail Sam (as usual)

Great photo. Just don't like that blocking fence (or whatever that's called). You should have gone there and removed it :D
The rest is great! The tones especially. Well done

I look every so often and am always delighted with the photos, but today I felt immediately, "I have seen this; this feels all too familiar." I scrolled down and realized, oh yes, I probably *have* seen it since I was all around Siena almost a year ago now. Thanks for the beautiful photo and bringing back some memories.

Great shot - very curvey. Also I love the clothes as a way of bringing a historical place into the here and now.

One of the things I truly enjoy in your fotos is the surprises you have at the end of vertical shots. There is always something of interest. I think the contrasts in lighting here work particularly well; the shadows are accentuated and even a bit mysterious against the bright sun at the top. This is a great scene and very well captured.
