Posted by istoica at October 24, 2006 02:22 AMHi!
visiting your weblog brings a part of magic in my daily netsurf... but I have a question... How can you bring so beautiful colors to your mountain views? It's looking such a old postcards... It's really amazing!
oh boy, i do love this photo, the framing of it, and everything. however, i would probably prefer it without the filter, with bluer skies, and richer greens. otherwise, its great.
Posted by jesse at October 24, 2006 03:09 AMBeautiful cloudscape! It's amazing how nature achieve such magnificence when capture the right way like you did. :-)
Posted by nferreira at October 24, 2006 03:11 AMi love the cloud formation

Perfect shot same as always.
Gorgeous cloud! I love this one. Just perfect shot. Green tones are also beautiful.
Posted by sari at October 24, 2006 06:54 AMThe colours are excellent - a great find from a beautiful part of the world.
Posted by Craig Wilson at October 24, 2006 06:56 AMTimes like this we're reminded yet again that Nature is truly the greatest artist of all.
Posted by PlasticTV at October 24, 2006 07:50 AMThis seems over darkended. I do have a dark monitor problem and while it took only one run through auto-adjust to barely see detail in the foreground, it took 3 times to have a sensible balance and brightness for me. So I'm wondering if you darkened it purposefully for the drama? I am fascinated slightly by the texture of the foreground, but you've had better clouds - for sure.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at October 24, 2006 08:13 AMWow, amazing picture. I love it.

Posted by Andrew at October 24, 2006 11:43 AMevery once in awhile i get the attitude of "it would be nice if sam did landscapes, or if he did portraits" - it seems every time i tell that to myself you end up posting one. this is a fantastic and original landscape shot which has your signature all over it. great job man.
Posted by shane j montgomery at October 24, 2006 12:13 PMI've said it before - amazing, huge clouds follow you everywhere! Like other, first thing that came to my mind was an 'explosion' too. I love the different greens in the picture. Do you have any more of the alps?
Posted by Khadeeja at October 24, 2006 12:44 PMLove the layers and the depth.

Posted by Abe at October 25, 2006 01:14 AM@Hugh Petrie,
My guess is that the darkness comes from a short shuttertime, because he was in a car, when he shot this. (At least, that's what I reckon, reading the caption).
Posted by Robert at October 25, 2006 09:34 AMfantastic!
