Sam,

I like your recent focus on people. Very nice shots in which your caring about your fellow humans is noticeable. These pics may not be flashy, but they touch my heart. Thank you.

what a peaceful and tender picture of a mother with her child. if i didn't know better, i'd think there's no such thing as war, murder and destruction on this planet. everything is in peace. they look so fragile at the same time, as if war and murder and destruction DOES exist on this planet, but hasn't reached them. and hopefully never will. makes me smile. thanks.

Pathetic paint job if at least painted, but happy lady with baby always makes it. Naturally there's a desire to know what the sign says.

Sam, your exposures and post processing are so consistently good. The skin tone is nailed, it's something I have trouble with and always go back and forth. The sharpness is also nailed spot on. Great emotion in this shot.

There's a lovely corrollary between her toes and the uneven boards on the porch -- as if age has made the porch grow less rigid in response to contact with humans. Don't know why that really struck me.

Lovely image!

Very touching photo. It made me think about my own childhood. Born by immigrant parents who must have worked really hard in the city to get where they are now. Bare-bones, nitty gritty, living with simple pleasures. No glamour but there is love in the photograph.
