Posted by Chantal at September 19, 2006 07:11 AMHey,
I really like this picture, but if I'm being honest, I think it's a bit too blurry, it's okay, it's a very common mistake for beginers. The best way to fix this, is to get a better camera. Now, I don't know what you use, but I got a really sweet Dora the exlorer camera. It's good because its got a really fast winder on it, so you can get to the next shot. Also its got a pretty sweet monkey on it as well, so you can feel like he's helping you with the camera. And really who doesn't want a monkey helping you take pictures.
anyway, keep at it! you'll only get better with practice.
Posted by coop at September 19, 2006 08:47 AMYou must have captured this on a rare sunny day recently? Nice pan.
Posted by Dave at September 19, 2006 10:23 AMGreat capture. Focusing just on the biker enhances this feeling of relaxation and joy you suggest in the title.
Posted by Carlos Lorenzo at September 19, 2006 10:56 AMso lovely :)
The guy seems to be submerged in a world of his own.. with all the surroundings reduced to just a blur of colours and phantom shapes.
I got to give panning a try one of these days.. is it VERY difficult to master? ;)
Nice shot, love the composition.

Posted by Fabio at September 21, 2006 04:15 AMA perfect panning like this changes the whole perspective - the one in motion is in sharp focus, while the static fades out of it. And thats why when it works, it works like magic!
This is really really cool.
Glad I visited.
