Great portrait - love the B&W tones in this image.

I really like this picture.

It makes my frustrated that Sam can create such incredible images! If I was there at the same time, with the same camera, with the same settings - my picture wouldn't be half as good.

But, thanks to Sam, I'm inspired to keep taking pictures. Thank you sir!

Wow! What a powerful image!

He looks very introspective. That strikes me as ironic, as I'm assuming he was most likely out in public, if not on stage, and probably surrounded by a couple of hundred people at least.

The strong verticality of the highlights on his forehead, cheek and nose draw your eye to the center of the image, but it's the dark spot formed by his eye that really pulls you in. And it's his eye that communicates that sense of introspection to me.

You seem to be able to connect with your subjects even if they're not aware that you're taking their picture. I love your architectural photos and cityscapes. It would be great to see more of your portraits.

For stuf on the run a great portrait image. You couldn't have obtained a more Yousef Karsh lighting effect if you'd tried. Convenient! He looks a bit sweaty for cool weather.

When I first saw the photo, I thought it was Sean Penn. It looks like they must have the same hairstylist.

Every picture you make, it just makes me want to get more out of my photography. Your experience, your vision, wished I had it...
This portrait makes him looking a bit old (not used to that) and also darn handsome at the same time. It is one of those I have always wanted to make... The absolute focus on the ear, as I see it, and the nose and a bit of the eye in sort of a blur. Totally different from the usual. Makes him and his appearance (is that spelled right?) more of a personality!

I've been a regular visitor to your site and love it. When you started adding pictures of the TIFF, I got excited. I live and teach in Igloolik, NU and our local film production company, Isuma, had their latest film open the festival. Were you able to get any shots at "The Journals of Knud Rasmusen"?

beautiful shot; sincere and powerful.

Neeson is possibly my favorite actor, and your shot and editing reinforces that.
The mood is fitting for our general collective interpretation of his personality.
The slight blur was a technicality that my initial perception had to overcome (not embrace). I wish there had either been more or less of it.
Otherwise, quite a nice photo. I also think you have a talent for portraits that might further develop your conceptualization of the architectural/urban land and cityscapes.
