Posted by Fotosensibile at September 6, 2006 04:04 AMIt had been a while since my jaw dropped in the first few milliseconds after an image loaded. But this one did the trick. I guess that means i like it!
Posted by steefje at September 6, 2006 04:06 AMThe clouds, the lightning of the tower, the moon and the composition: breathtaking!

Posted by Henrik Hansen at September 6, 2006 05:45 AMAstonishing shot mate. I don't belive anybody had done such a shot so far.
By the way, how close to the ground you were 'WALKING' home last night? It doesn't seem quite close ;^)
Keep the faith.

Posted by Parallax1 at September 6, 2006 07:07 AMIs the data 81mm correct?
Posted by Maran at September 6, 2006 07:17 AMGreat shot. Nice to wake up to. Know what you mean about tripods - if I have mine with me, I don't seem to need it, but when I need it - that's when I left it home.
Posted by Kent at September 6, 2006 07:23 AMjust incredible; surreal. I really, really like this one.
Posted by Ethan at September 6, 2006 07:31 AMBeautiful!!
Posted by Nate at September 6, 2006 07:57 AMSam, you've used your tripod like a painter's easel. This one is a work of art.

you've done what I was thought impossible...make the CN Tower sexy
Posted by Dave at September 6, 2006 10:04 AMWoah! Sam, very nice. Very Batmanesque, or maybe sci-fi, like War-of-the-Worldsish. The black, and darkness/shadows with just a bit of red make it an awesome pic. Very fresh.
Posted by BrotherAli at September 6, 2006 10:07 AMYou sure that isn't a flying saucer?
Posted by Hugh Petrie at September 6, 2006 10:16 AMShadow and highlights?

Posted by Susan Jones at September 6, 2006 10:44 AMAhhh.....I was admiring that very angle of the moon and tower last night (except I was at King and John, not Queen and Peter). Thank you for capturing it so gloriously! Beauteous, Sam!
Posted by Kathy at September 6, 2006 10:49 AMAnother gorgeous capture Sam!!
It must have been very late, as I went to bed at 10:30 and the "Wagnerian" moon was still quite east of the tower.
That is one spooky shot, awesome.
Posted by Nick at September 6, 2006 10:56 AMWow it's unbelievable !
Posted by Harlequinpan at September 6, 2006 11:23 AMWonderful picture Sam. Since the forum is locked down, what do you mean by P@-0.2. I understand P as in Program mode, but not the rest of it. I've noticed this in a few pics you've posted recently.

And very appropriate given the content of your page. In fact I was looking for a digital camera, as I will be travelling soon. So double thanks!
Posted by selam at September 6, 2006 03:24 PMGreat shot!! The way the CN Tower is lit you can tell that the bottom ring is made of canvas.
Fantastic shot.
Posted by OverBurN at September 6, 2006 03:25 PMThis is just an awsome picture! Keep up the good work.
Posted by Johan at September 6, 2006 03:36 PMVery cool. I saw the moon last night too, it was really big. But when I got home to get the tripod a huge cloud took the moon.

Posted by Nick at September 6, 2006 09:13 PMabsolutely amazing, its just extraordinary!
Posted by athen crete at September 6, 2006 09:29 PMNice shot.....You have to keep an eye out for werewolves with one eye while checking through the camera with the other. It would be for me in fact more likely that I was actually attacked by a werewolf than me just happen to have my tripod with me at the vital moment. Still.........what can I say...... great shot bro....yeah.........you know its weird ....... I used to be a werewolf but Im alright...... Noooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, great shot!!!
The tones are amazing!
Lucky indeed that you had your tripod. Nice one!
Posted by kristarella at September 10, 2006 07:15 AMWow. You are really good, as if you haven't heard that enough already. Besides, what's a little flattery?
Posted by hollandchase at September 11, 2006 10:51 AMa wonderful image. very lucky you had the tripid indeed! love the lighting, and the detail in the clouds brought out by the light of the moon. fantastic.
Posted by kettlepot at September 14, 2006 10:44 PMTerrific shot. From my experience the full moon is blazingly brighter than anything else at night, so to get the cloud subtly showing in front of it, and the lights of the tower, all at similar brightness, I presume this is two difference bracketed exposures merged in photoshop. No ?
