That's so neat! I CANT wait for season three of prison brake! It starts in 19 hours since I posted this! It's going to be awesome. Great shot. The clearity is really great.
Posted by Wesley Yendrys at August 21, 2006 01:17 AMWhat a brilliant campaign! You really managed to show the simpleness of these ads. Have fun tonight!
Posted by Effective Pixels at August 21, 2006 04:25 AMExcellent picture. I like this idea for a publicity campaign.
Posted by Carlos Lorenzo at August 21, 2006 05:06 AMHaha thats a great way of advertising the show.
Posted by Pete Carr at August 21, 2006 05:11 AMThat's not a totally original idea. A similar campaign was made for the 2nd season (not sure...) of LOST.
Posted by José Brito at August 21, 2006 05:29 AMAt first I though that these were ral posters of fugitives. Well what if these were indeed posters of fugitives and they get caught because someone saw them on this site, which is very possile considering the popularity of your site, those convicts would have been really upset with you.
Posted by navin harish at August 21, 2006 06:08 AMI can't wait too, we are far behind but have seen previews on internet. Great image.
Posted by koffiekitten at August 21, 2006 06:19 AMAll the way from L.A. to Canada, it seems these things are everywhere. I agree that they're rather cheap, but snarky nonetheless.
Posted by Brody Mulligan at August 21, 2006 06:39 AMOH yes new prison break!
Great way to advertise a new season, something they wouldn't at all contemplate doing here in the UK
Nice work, been following your work recently and am envious of your talent, keep it up buddy
Posted by Doug at August 21, 2006 07:09 AMgreat shots! haha darn... prison break (manhunt) isn't out in Australia yet =( I can't wait to see it!!!
Posted by weiwei at August 21, 2006 07:55 AMAbruzzi is the man. Damn I can't wait till tonight :D
Posted by DAVE at August 21, 2006 08:32 AMClever ad campaign for sure. Nice spotting as usual.
Posted by Laurie at August 21, 2006 08:41 AMFor someone who seems to be in what is likely ad creation work it is something to admit the likely effectiveness of a cheap campaign.
I note too that you were caught without the 11-22 mm lens which might have put the two in one shot with the same or better impact.
But I never watch TV. I don't perceive crime or poor human relationships as entertainment.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at August 21, 2006 09:09 AMThere are huge wanted posters up all over New York, too! I am definitely looking forward to the new season!
Posted by Jodi at August 21, 2006 09:36 AMA little subliminal framing with the "Sam's" sign in the background of the second photo?
Posted by Dave at August 21, 2006 09:49 AMCool & ontime shot, I can't wait too.
Most likely I would like to do it for Jack (24) @ Shanghai's streets ;-)
How come the backgrounds are totally different?
Posted by Aaron at August 21, 2006 10:19 AMCheapest but I like it, lovely shots as well.
Posted by Craig Wilson at August 21, 2006 10:28 AMI love this show! I think its a great (and inexpensive) advertising method :)
Posted by Rob at August 21, 2006 10:47 AMThat's a neat campaign.
(I'm more interested in the Popeye's ad in the second pic)...
and look.. there's a sign for "Sam's".
*cheers* Heck yeah for new Prison Break! I haven't seen this in my area yet, but that's a great idea!! As usual, thanks for the cool shot Sam!
Posted by Kyle at August 21, 2006 11:34 AMhow cool. great ad-idea, and you captured them really nicely
Posted by Kurt at August 21, 2006 11:38 AMThey actually had guys dressed as fake cops, complete with the handcuffs dangling from belt loops in front of Union Station this morning!
Took me by surpirse, particularly when you think about the hostage situation that happened on that very same stretch of street a few years back.
Nice pic Sam, insanely clear and crisp capture of the wanted posters.
Posted by Deep at August 21, 2006 12:29 PMhaha... cool. But I still don't understand how they manage to escape (running bare foot) from helicopter, police car, guns, ... . This episode should be interesting.
Posted by NIN at August 21, 2006 01:05 PMIf people don't read carefully, they might actually believe they are realy on the MOST WANTED list of criminals.
Posted by Stefanie at August 21, 2006 03:35 PMWhat a fabulous ad campaign!
I just re-viewed all of season one (in a marathon session I'm half-proud, half-ashamed of) and I cannot wait to see the premiere tonight!
Posted by Nox at August 21, 2006 03:35 PMAs a graphic design student, I'm going crazy over these ads. I read an article about the design company who was put in charge of these. A really simply concept, but it works so well. I don't watch the show, but I feel a duty to support the brilliant minds behind these ads, so I just might tune in.
Posted by GraphicStudent at August 21, 2006 03:53 PM@ Aaron: They're not actually different. The two signs are taken from slightly different points on the pole, and as such, the Sam's sign is obscured on one. The background on the Abruzzi shot captures the Pizza Memo building (just below the light). This is at the same corner where the lightbulb shot from yesterday was taken.
I know this corner a little too well (and no, not for any of the reasons that statement may imply) :)
Posted by Chris at August 21, 2006 04:31 PMScary!
Great Shot!
I think I've seen these two men. I wouldn't dare attempt to apprehend them myself. There's no phone number to report them.
Posted by Kevin at August 21, 2006 05:16 PMYou just KNOW that some idiots are going to take this seriously and try to take the actors in...
Posted by Nate at August 21, 2006 06:00 PMNow, that is clever marketing.
Posted by Bojan at August 21, 2006 08:52 PMGreat shots, great serie!!! It's a pity I won't be able to watch it tonight :(
Posted by Mar at August 21, 2006 11:56 PMPRISON BREAK!
