Though the two terms are used interchangably and considered synonyms for each other in some dictionaries, generally speaking, a maze is created of many branching pathways...some leading to deadends...primarily to challenge/confuse/test one's ability to problem solve. A labyrinth may be complex, but it is a single, circuitous pathway toward a "center"...meant for focusing one's mind on "the journey"...and has been used for centuries as a form of spiritual meditation..even though I believe its mythological roots are far less mystical.
I hope you don' tmind this lengthy post, I just thought it was very creative of someone to make a labyrinth in the shape of a light bulb (as in one going on above one's head, etc)...and that you might be interested in the distinctions.
A way out of the maze? Yes, try the third dimension -- jump!
