But depending on how you interprete soon, they are probably right. Maybe the'll go to Toronto before coming to Belgium though. =d
Posted by iphi at August 15, 2006 04:39 AMHot stencil piece, and the wall texture gives it an extra dimension. Interesting also - being such a talented photographer - that you tackle this so straight-forward. Great!

Would be much appreciated.

Posted by Simon Cain at August 15, 2006 11:05 AMMaybe in the north, as Harper plans?
You should send this photo to ADBUSTERS...they'll eat this up.
Posted by Ruhh at August 15, 2006 12:32 PMgood find...definitely a 'controvertial' topic. but imagine it said something else? Not so good of a shot then eh?
Posted by CrankPhoto at August 15, 2006 02:07 PMTo an end. I hope.
Great photo Sam.
That is indeed a powerful image, it seems to be both a prediction and a warning.
Posted by flatrabbit at August 15, 2006 02:21 PMThat stencil caught my eye the other day walking in the same area. Funny to see it here again, too – haunting!
Posted by Aylwin at August 15, 2006 02:42 PMwith all do respect, isn't the "art" in this photo created by the person of the stencil, instead of in your photograph?
Though i guess under 'photojournalism' it would make sense. But I'm suprised because I think this is the first time the "artwork" of your photo had nothing to do with the photo itself.
Posted by jody at August 15, 2006 03:41 PMSomething about the stenciled tank brings out the eight year old in me. Awesome tank. Nice texture and simple contrasting colors.
Posted by furt at August 15, 2006 03:41 PMWhat is it?
Posted by Mark at August 15, 2006 05:34 PMI just saw this on sunday on college. didn't know what it was so just kept on walking.

Posted by IE: at August 16, 2006 01:51 PMi collect photos of stencil tags. thanks for the tip!
Posted by vin man at August 21, 2006 11:02 PMjody, was thinking the exact same thing about the art in the this photo belonging to whoever created and sprayed the stencil, but it's got to be said I'm glad to have had the opportunity to see it in the first place!
Definitely banksy-esque, kinda reminds me of the George Bush stormtrooper stencil with the familiar stylised font saying "Starts Wars".
Good find, TLP fella!
