Comments: no entry and clothes

Excellent, as always.

I'm making my first trip to Toronto this month and look forward to seeing some of the things in your photos. This trip will be but a half-day but it will be a nice preview for when I come for a longer visit probably in fall.

Thanks for introducing me to the town. Perhaps I'll go to Siena and Teheran before long, too!

Ouch, overly saturated!

I might be stating theobvious, but the Stop sign makes this photo worth the shot. In its absence, it might have been mundane.

Cool perspective, the no entry sign makes this image. Nicely done.

I like the composition.
It gives the feeling of Drum & Bass!

Interesting angle! Nice detail in the brick work.

What I do find interesting is the decrepit condition of the brickwork. In Canada, most cities would likely demand a lot of repair, pointing of the caulking, and perhaps replacement of the brick facade where it's become hazardous. It may be in better shape than it looks, of course. Could be it was better constructed than more modern work - but doubtful. Hard for society to keep up to the demands of decay.

The insides of these places, however, may be kept quite tidy and pleasant. Can't see that.

Nice shot. Colours are beautiful, especially the deep blue sky.

the perspective in this one makes me feel dizzy .. and the sky couldn't possibly be more blue .. Does the no entry sign refer to the sky? hope not ;)

Really nice colours! Red and blue and erm... brick! :p

Hello Sam,
Nice shot. I have a technical question regarding the exif data you provided for this shot. What does the P@-0.1 mean? Look forward to hearing your response

I miss seeing clothes lines in cities.

Responses to a couple of comments:
Siena IS that colour;
in Italy the buildings can look decrepit on the outside, and yes, very smart inside;
if you want clothes lines, go to Naples.
Go to Naples anyway!
And Venice, and Rome...

yeah i like this one too, and no, it's not oversaturated at all! The colors are just right and adding a nice last touch to a perfect composition.

The sky looks like a BLUE LIGHTNING BOLT.

I was in Siena at that time for Palio, but I'm from Toronto and missed keeping up with your site for the month I was gone.

I hope you loved it as much as I did!!
