Posted by Jon at August 4, 2006 02:19 AMAwesome shot. Great use of DOF. Looks like the car of Austin Powers.

Posted by tom at August 4, 2006 05:37 AMSam: I love this one. The way you've used the frame is so original and works so well I'm in awe of your imagination. Just great.

Posted by mel at August 4, 2006 08:18 AMI love these cars & I thought it would be cool to have one with the canadian flag on top. I love the rain drops.

OK, so now I need both your eyes and your camera to capture such beautiful compositions. I know the price of the camera. How much for your eyes? 8^)
Posted by Kevin at August 4, 2006 10:09 AMLovely picture! You know just how to use the right amount of brightness and shadow. I tend to lighten my pictures up to much and brighten my colors too much. But it takes a good artist to know when to brighten and when to not when the mood calls for it. Nice work!
Question: how do you keep your camera dry on rainy days? I saw another picture when you used a plastic bag over your camera to take a picture out in the rain. I'd be paranoid that I'd ruin my camera with water getting into it! Any techniques you'd like to share?
Bravo... every once in a while you come out with something like this and prove you have the eye.
Posted by Mathieu at August 4, 2006 10:16 AMLove the perspective and colours.
Posted by Craig at August 4, 2006 10:20 AMWow! I love what you did to the colors.

Posted by PaulB at August 4, 2006 11:29 AMCool photo, the bright colors on the car brighten up the rainy day.
Posted by Todd at August 4, 2006 11:48 AMso this is what it looks like when hanging onto the roof of a car?! Where's the product and tag line...this is right from a magazine ad.
Posted by CrankPhoto at August 4, 2006 12:18 PMIt may look easy but this is one of the few pictures i've seen that capture the essence of a rainy day really well. Congrats!
Posted by PlasticTV at August 4, 2006 12:59 PMVery austin powers-like. good job.
Posted by Andrew at August 4, 2006 02:21 PMWell done. I like this perspective and the rain adds just the right feeling.
Posted by Laurie at August 4, 2006 02:58 PMHow you create such a DOF with f8 ? The photo gives the right rain feeling! Nice.
Posted by Michael at August 4, 2006 08:43 PMThe bright, bold colors make a wonderful foreground to the pleasant scene behind them.
Posted by micki at August 4, 2006 11:09 PMwhat eyes u have!
Posted by sun at August 5, 2006 12:27 AMThe foreground is isolated perfectly but with just enough detail in the background to keep the interest....very cool composition. Phil

Posted by natalie at August 6, 2006 11:13 PMI've been loving your pictures for years! This one is fantastic... mainly because I love MINIs! I actually know who's MINI this is, so I'll definitely send him the pic! On my MINI I'm getting a pink black and white version of the Union Jack! When I get it, I'll park downtown a lot in hopes that you'll catch a pic of it! :P
Posted by Christina at August 16, 2006 08:32 AMIt may be raining - but the british just like the national flag the union jack ( England Scotland and Wales & Northern Ireland under one flag )(wont go into the politics here) like the flag always look on the bright side
