Comments: green leaves, red brick

Ha. I thought it was a cartoon for a mini-split-second.

Im not an expert or anything, but the composition doesn't look right :\

anyways, it's a nice shot. I like the maple leaves, and the everyday-ness of the tree base.

where can I get a 1920x1080 version?

The reminents of a 4-day rain, looks like the tree's quenched and mighty satisfied. Happy Canada Day Sam (and everyone else)!

یاد خیابونهای تهران افتادم ...البته نه اینقدر مرتب و تمیز . سبز باشی.

Frankly, the concrete blocks make this view ugly if amusingly interesting. I can see why your eye would go for it but it's no big turn on for me.

Exquisite! I love these lines and colors. I'm so curious to see how others comment on this one.

The colours just work so well together.

Nice, but I wish we saw more of the green/red contrast.

Toronto is one clean city if you go by this photo. Perhaps a little bit too clean. Perhaps the word I'm looking for is...sterile....?

Posted by martin at July 1, 2006 11:18 PM

I like this shot, but I wish we saw more of the leaves on the tree. I think it would make for a stronger nature/shite built environment contrast, but that's just one reporter's opinion.

Aha - red and white and maple leaves in honour of Canada Day! (Am I right?) Happy Canada Day, Sam, and thanks for coming here and showing us what you see!

Beautiful, almost abstract composition. It's the lines and colours that make this photograph.

this is THE blandest pic you've posted so far. shame on you.

A beautiful shot, Sam. One of my favourites of yours in a long time.
