Superb shot. Took me a while to figure out what the pic is about. Pic quality isn't impressive tho, probably due to changing your camera temporarily.

whoa. this confused me terribly. and that's what I love about it!

Posted by Elissa at May 17, 2006 01:22 AM

I like that you turned this photo upside down. It reminds me of this piece that Fiona Tan did that was on at the Art Gallery at York Univeristy where the projected video was turned upside down.

Posted by Jessica at May 17, 2006 01:34 AM

As usual: nice.. and this one actually took me a few seconds to work out!

Posted by Michael at May 17, 2006 01:45 AM

Now THIS i love!

Posted by Tanja > DoubleCrossed.ca at May 17, 2006 01:59 AM

Posted by moses at May 17, 2006 02:27 AM

how come it's upside down

Posted by A at May 17, 2006 02:41 AM

Nicer if you return it back to normal. It's now upside down.

Posted by Arash at May 17, 2006 03:14 AM

wow what an odd picture I love it took me by complete suprise being upside down.

Posted by Vanella Mead at May 17, 2006 03:42 AM

beautiful!

I don't know what is lomo LC-A film camera, but I am sure you turned round the original image,am I right? It seems like fish's view under water.
If everything of the world were upside down, how crazy ..........

Posted by Harlequinpan at May 17, 2006 05:33 AM

nice!

Posted by Jesse at May 17, 2006 05:42 AM

Superb shot. Such a great angle.

Posted by Chris at May 17, 2006 05:47 AM

At first, it appears less like a reflection and more like a surreal confusion of images. Great!

Posted by Robert at May 17, 2006 06:03 AM

i like it. a lot :)

Posted by Dacian at May 17, 2006 06:19 AM

Posted by برعکس تو at May 17, 2006 06:40 AM

Any specific reason for posting it upside down?

Posted by Navin Harish at May 17, 2006 06:47 AM

I wonder how many people are going to wonder why their necks are sore later in the day??

Posted by John at May 17, 2006 07:30 AM

he he :)

showing the pic in reverse had me thinking for some time :)

Posted by aashish at May 17, 2006 07:54 AM

This appears to be upside down. Was that intentional?

Posted by nyc at May 17, 2006 08:23 AM

I was going to make a comment about jpg compression problems before I realized the reason for jaggy lines. Good one.

Posted by eddie at May 17, 2006 08:24 AM

Nice. I really like this.

Posted by A thinker at May 17, 2006 08:39 AM

Well the wires at top remind me of a spot in Killaloe, but on the whole this is too disorienting to want to look at. Very weird, to say the least. Never heard of a Lomo camera and won't likely find out if this is what it does with all images - disorienting I mean.

I'm trying to make sense of this photo, but I can't. O.o

Posted by mel at May 17, 2006 10:04 AM

This is a wild shot! Love that reflection.

Posted by micki at May 17, 2006 10:46 AM

This one really had me trying to figure it out. Great perspective. Very clever way to display it. The more I look at it the more I appreciate it.

Posted by Laurie at May 17, 2006 10:46 AM

Great shot! I've watching it for 15 minutes before a notice what is happening...

Posted by michael at May 17, 2006 10:49 AM

great shoot, I like it!

Posted by forestm at May 17, 2006 11:37 AM

hi,
I like that you turned it. The upper part is now more prominent which gives an impression that the real world is smaller and the imaginary world is bigger but it is a little bit unsettled and wavy. We live in a real world but the concept that we have in mind from the world is something less real like that part that you show at the top of the picture. You made me think and this is the aim of art. Congratulation!

love your webpage and this shot...question...the shot at the bottom is upside down...why is it that the signal light itsn't???!!! mmmmmm

Posted by sandra at May 17, 2006 12:37 PM

I really like the fact that youput it upside down... It really adds to the sense of strangeness of the picture :-)
Very nice shot !

Pretty coo, pretty coo! Infact, it reminds me of a story...One time we had t do a puzzle for some odd reason-but that is beyond the point!- Anywho, there was about 5 different puzzles and the group who finished their ouzzle first won. So all of these puzzles were of mountains or trees and such. All the groups finished except for this one group who had a picture of a lake and it'e reflection. They could not figure out the puzzle for the life of them! They were mad to death that they came in last. Well, of course they did not die...but you catch my drift! Anywayz that is just my little comment!

Your shots always confuse me when I check your site at work on the small monitors, I can never see the entire photo without scrolling. This one is definately one that got me more confused than usual. Like the dizzying effect this one has.

Posted by Steve LLamb at May 17, 2006 05:34 PM

Fantastic idea!!!

Just made me think that when you turn things up-side down even familiar things look very strange.

You put a different perspective to things through your pictures! Great Job!

Posted by Madhu at May 17, 2006 07:19 PM

This is making me woozie...very cool!

Posted by Mike at May 17, 2006 09:06 PM

which one is reality? and which is the reflection?

Posted by rosh at May 17, 2006 11:18 PM

It's great how the simple flipping of an image can add so much interest and depth that would not normally have been achieved.

Good call!

Posted by Vivi at May 18, 2006 09:00 AM

I really really really really really love this shot.

Posted by diana at May 18, 2006 09:38 PM

Reflection looks like a pencil sketch! Awesome snap!

Posted by Deepak at May 19, 2006 07:23 AM

I think what is most ingenious about this foto is that if it were right side up with no reflection, it would be an ordinary and boring scene. But you draw in the viewer and change the perspective entirely. Nice idea, and I like the grain from the film!

Posted by Abe at May 19, 2006 01:55 PM

Incredible shot. Logical chaos, great stuff!

Posted by Tomasz at May 20, 2006 08:50 AM

Very strange and original photo - I like it very much.

Congratulations on being chosen as the photoblog of the year!
