the angle and the perspective are impressive. Congratulations
Posted by ramon at May 10, 2006 03:13 AMWow, fantastic shot! angle, light colour, sharpness... beautiful pic!
Posted by Pierre at May 10, 2006 03:23 AMGreat photo. FYI, your exposure info balloon isnt working.
Posted by drew at May 10, 2006 03:26 AMdon't know what it is but the school bus really makes this photo. nice shot
Posted by Ige Egal at May 10, 2006 03:34 AMlittle cloudy for the sky, i think you get too much for retouching your picture
Posted by didi at May 10, 2006 03:34 AMurrr.. i like that one! nice colors and angle
Posted by BC at May 10, 2006 03:43 AMAmazing colours Sam, the sky looks beautiful and the bus is class looking. It's a very cool, crisp sort of morning from what I can see.
Good snap today Sam
Posted by Ryan at May 10, 2006 04:02 AMwow. i love everything about it!
Posted by tee at May 10, 2006 04:09 AMgreat colours. I especially like that light reflected off the building's windows
Posted by Susie at May 10, 2006 04:50 AMcool!
this shot looks like its been taken off some video game!
Posted by aashish at May 10, 2006 05:00 AMYou really make everyday/boring subject matter & make it interesting/engaging. The angles in this photo are absolutely amazing. Everything looks so linear with great colour contrast. Nice job! But the bus almost looks as if its floating off the ground!? How is that?
Posted by Abraham at May 10, 2006 05:15 AMWAUW!
The bus just pops right out our the photo!
Black limo and yellow nimo!?
Very interesting perspective and great composition.I like the skylight and light reflections from school bus and building.
Congratulations!Sam!
Gila!!! (that's an expression in my language :D)
Nice perspective, created by the school bus and the limo heading 45 degree from the bus.. Wish i could see things the way your eyes see.. :)
Did you dodge the sky in PS? Because the gradation looks a bit not smooth. But it doesn't disturb the beauty of this photo, really. :)
Posted by naning at May 10, 2006 06:47 AMTypically American..... we don't have them here in Holland..... I like seeing them.
Posted by Chantal at May 10, 2006 06:56 AMThe DR in this image is wonderful. I like the perspective too.
Posted by AirBete at May 10, 2006 07:47 AMIs that HDR or just the light shining from the windows in that building? Cool shot either way.
Posted by Pete Carr at May 10, 2006 07:53 AMFabulous composition!
It is really great the way you have used the school bus's lines to add another dimension to the whole image, Sam; so that in this one you are playing very successfully with volumes rather than just flat shapes.
Wow.This one is amazing. Is it a wide lens? Very impressive stuff.
Posted by Tomasz at May 10, 2006 08:01 AMI like the irony of the limo in the background-it makes for a funny contrast.
Posted by Dave at May 10, 2006 08:21 AMHi Sam,
The camera setting for today's photo (May 10, 2006) is not present when I place the mouse over the image.
Nice image, by the way!
Posted by Clarence Johnson at May 10, 2006 08:39 AMwhat lens was used for this photo?? It's great
(normally when you roll the cursor over an image it displays a pop-up with all the camera info, but this one just says '=black')
Posted by tom at May 10, 2006 09:04 AMI find it deliciously ironic that you chose this photo to post with the announcement that your work will be featured in an upcoming photography installation. I mean, how could someone whose work has made it into a gallery take a photo this uninteresting?
I'm beginning to think you aren't even trying to take good photos, Sam -- what happened to the good ol' days?
PS You spelled "photohgraphy" wrong.
Posted by Timm Burr at May 10, 2006 09:19 AMThis belongs in a photography instruction book or classroom. The lines are classic, the reflected light adds so much, and the wide angle is insane!
Great shot.
Posted by Scott Murdoch at May 10, 2006 09:36 AMGreat looong bus to go with that stretch limo!
Posted by micki at May 10, 2006 09:50 AMWow, that is an amazing picture.
The composition, colours and angle are just perfect!
Your having fun with the super wide lens. It almost makes the image to square for a wide shot.
I hope you find some better subject matter.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at May 10, 2006 10:06 AMamazing!
Posted by shula at May 10, 2006 10:32 AMDid you use a polarizer filter? Would be nice to add filter information ;)
Posted by JMD at May 10, 2006 11:00 AMI love the elongated bus, but it can’t be sheer luck that the limo drove by just as you were taking this picture... Do you know the driver? *sheesh*
=o]
Posted by Vivi at May 10, 2006 11:41 AMyou are the MAN.
Posted by Jesse at May 10, 2006 12:46 PMWhat a neat composition! Nice catch with the limo.
The angle is perfect. Love the colors too.
Posted by Laurie at May 10, 2006 02:20 PMNice shot! Great color and light. Interesting that the limo was passing by right when you were taking the picture... :)
Posted by chiara at May 10, 2006 02:24 PMSam, now I'm wondering if I really SHOULD get the 10-22mm. Seems a bit addictive? ;)
Posted by James at May 10, 2006 02:40 PMhmmm, i like this 10-20 lens :D
Posted by ps at May 10, 2006 05:38 PMThis is a really nice shot! The wide angle lens gives you the sense that the bus is even longer than expected.
Posted by Paul Woolrich at May 11, 2006 05:50 PMthe Yellow bus and the super wide angle distortion makes this picture SOOOO atttractive!
every one needs a super wide angle!
i'm gonna start saving for one today!
Best picture of a school bus I've ever seen.. striking perspectives/reflections. Keep up the good work!
Posted by buzzbee at May 11, 2006 11:45 PMawesome! :)
Posted by Rui Lebreiro at May 12, 2006 06:41 PMGreat use of the wide-angle. Fantastic tones, lighting (especially on the building windows) and composition!
