Comments: web tangled building

Love it, the wires, the distortion and all.

waaaaaaaaaay too much distortion!!! a lot of your photos tend to have too much distortion, it takes away from the photos.

It's the headquarter of spider-house.

That makes me clostrophobic for some reason.

That's some perspective! The focal point makes it seem out of proportion and unreal.

Streetcars have put many places under a web. But they're a very economic form of transportation, so that's the price we pay in esthetic appeal.

This is the first image you've posted made with the 10-22 lens, I think, that shows such convergent vertical lines in the walls of buildings. Other views have had much less or no apparent barrel of wide angles. Curious!

Wow that's a lot of cables. Are those for cable cars? We don't have any of those around here. I love the color of that building it looks like something you might find at a shore town here.

I hope that you managed to have some fun in NY despite the rain. I live in a NYC suburb and yes the weather has been horrid and is supposed to remain so for a bit longer...Yuck!

That's an astonishing image. People must walk under that every day and never see it as web-captured. Absolutely stunning.

great color contrasts!
I also like the "corrected" distorsion, but I'would also liked to see the original barrel...

Great shot! I especially love the wires overhead.

i love the colour of the building, and the lens is amazing

What can I say? I love the deep green of the building contrasting with the drab background. I love the angle and enhanced perspective. I love the tangle of wires above. This is just a fantastic shot!

Man! Everytime I see a shot with this 10-22mm lens I keep thinking I got to get one. Just don't have the disposable income for one right now. Love the shot!

Posted by Andrew at June 26, 2006 12:15 AM

Brilliant photograph. The wires act as though they were mirroring the tram tracks on the ground as well as making up for a dull sky.

Simple yet effective. I like : )

Great shot, as always. Just to let you know that it's called Monty Millionaire's.

Posted by pageblank at June 27, 2006 01:37 PM

like this one a lot, it looks like it's reaching out all over the city...

Posted by degan at June 27, 2006 05:21 PM

I think its Marty Millionaire

25th was my birthday and this image represnts what a tangled mess my life has become.

Posted by navin harish at June 28, 2006 03:09 AM

Great shot. I lived up the street from Marty Millionaire--never made it inside but it was always amusing to look in the windows.

I really like the wide angle and the capture of the "web" of streetcar wires that sits over so many downtown intersections.

This is awesome! I love the lone color of the building, the billboard and the tangled web. Wonderful capture.

Posted by MikesRightBrain at June 28, 2006 11:53 PM

The distortion and wide angle look are simply fantastic here!!

Posted by Ariel Bravy at June 29, 2006 03:18 PM

I love the distortion of it, the wires add great perspective and the colour of the building is just gorgeous
