Comments: homeless reading

I like the electric blue! Great lines in this shot, too. Maybe the coolest part of all is this homeless man who seems perfectly content reading the paper. Very cool - I like it!

wow, nice colors but poor homeless guy. let's say it's a "great" (i know that sound kind of macabre) setting from the rich company on the poster and the poor man on the street.

all of your street shots feature near perfect straight lines and symmetry. dare you try something new and go for irregularity and slanted lines?

Nice Shot, it's an amazing picture.

Awesome photo Sam! I like how you got lightning in there since there was a thunderstorm yesterday evening.

Cool shot Sam, I like the manequins' smug superiority. This reminds me alot of Matt O'Sullivan's stuff on thenarrative.net.

Sam.. congrats. on"ruling the world" very cool....your site keeps getting better, not only great shots but info to other cool sites and information, And I like how you occasionally throw in a picture of someone less fortunate than us at home cozy in front of a computer to bring us a daily dose of reality for those less fortunate.... way to go Sam, keep up the good thinking, when are you coming to Victoria to go fishing?

very poignant - like the contrasting situations here

I love the contrasting views this picture conveys.

Nice juxtaposition of have and have not. When you take a picture of a person like this one, do you get a signed release?

I've been following your website for the past two weeks and am amazed by your photos. I am a beginner photographer and own the same camera as you. I love the contrast of the simplicity of the man reading vs. the store window. I hope that I will be able to capture images half as good as yours. Keep up the good work.

Reality...let's face it...a simple reflection of the state of the world.
The ever growing gap between rich and poor.
Neat photo. The framing is excellent. Nice composition and fabulous colors. Nice find !

Congrats on being selected as one of the sites that rules the world!

I think Jesse is missing something. First you find what you find that contains what you want then you photograph it. If Sam finds slopes with the feel he's sensitive to I'm sure you'll see slopes and angles.

It's how Sam draws the endless ordinary into artful awareness that is the thing.

The overwhelming blue flash almost hides the homeless dude with the paper. The contrast of the money seeking blue flash overlooking the moneyless so overwhelmingly, much as society overwhelms those who are homeless, is very disturbing.

Catch all the square images you can which are like this. Good one.

Very striking. Great framing.

Hello Sam!

Again a beautiful image. I do not have quite as much to say tonight as this is a trial post to see if it reaches you, but as always your work is of top caliber!

ha. how ironic. an expensive shop, and a homeless man taking shelter right by it.
pretty humanistic, aren't you?
in romania, the owners of the extravagant shop would have gotten a guard to shoo the homeless man away. does that happen in toronto?
