They got rid of the gorilla!?!?

This is a great image. Composition, tone, I like the whole thing! Well done.

I love it. That's a great store from what I've heard. I never shopped there but I had friends who got almost everything there.

Great photo.

what a cool picture....
looks like a parachutist....
Nice red too.

This place is so cool, and, that's right, you can find anything in there.

Fantastic capture. Such an interesting subject, i've been staring at it's body parts for the last five minutes!

Very cool!! Love the orange wall to contrast this against!

I went there for a class in college, my group made a robot. very primitive one. it only worked once. but we got an A

That is bright and colorful. However, time and soot will make it difficult to maintain its appearance unless it is indoors.

P.S. I have heard of calves like bowling pins but not thighs. :^)

very creative sculpture. i like looking at it to try to dissect what each component is.

Yeah they replaced the gorilla with a poster of a gorilla. I wish they'd get rid of the guy who's always screaming ACTive SURplus! ACTive SURplus!

Anyway, love the wall texture.

Posted by rek at April 7, 2006 11:44 AM

Wall Texture is impressive. I'm curious as to why that framing, was there some cropping? Is he holding something you didn't like?
Nice photo nonetheless !

this photo remembers me the song "Paranoid Android" - Radiohead -

I could guess you cut the hand to allow a just better close view of the body - and it fits the frame well - no waste space. I'd call it a well taken recording of an amazing piece of art on a wall of a very seductive orange stucco.

Thank you for the look, Sam.

holy crap

It's hard to get the scale - it looks like it could be 6 inches - or 15 feet. Wild.

I know the size - but it's fun to think of it as a giant sculpture.

Hah I've been there before. Found nice 3.5mm to RCA audio cables. Nice photo!

Posted by Raffi at April 7, 2006 06:45 PM

Sounds like a great place for some abstract photo ops.

Posted by micki at April 7, 2006 08:51 PM

That's cool, but I find it pretty creepy. Is that the new enemy robot in Terminator 4?

Posted by timmybomb at April 7, 2006 10:15 PM

Son (or Daughter) of Robota. DF will know who Robota is, if he reads this... lol!

She's Sexy!!! OOh Yeah!

This is one is really weird. But I like it. The texture of the wall is nice (or is it a floor)?

Posted by Tom from (Lucerne Times) at April 8, 2006 02:28 AM

Very funny! Fantastic color - I like this a lot!

Posted by Abe at April 11, 2006 01:25 AM

oh dear. that looks like my sister.

Posted by tommy at April 15, 2006 03:32 AM

A little disturbing but very creative. I wish we had a store like that around here.

Posted by Andy at April 16, 2006 09:17 PM
