It's very interesting to see your workplace.. my workplace usually contains one of your photos somewhere in the background to look at when my work seems to overwhelm me :)

4:00 am and still creative? I wish to feel that way at that time of the night. :-)

Those Dell displays are awsome. Isn't Dell who builds the Apple Cinema display?

Posted by nuno f at March 26, 2006 09:48 AM

Posted by dannyone at March 26, 2006 11:47 AM

Hey Sam!

Is that Adobe After Effects you're working with? I cant distinguish if it is or isnt.

If it is, ever heard of the Trapcode effects? They can be very useful in case you dont know about them!

Keep up the good work!

Posted by marc at March 26, 2006 01:29 PM

i've pulled all-nighters doing projects in after effects too. it's really satisfying for me when i'm done though.

so jealous

Posted by Leck at March 26, 2006 08:15 PM

Yeah, Dell is teh EVIL republican baby-eating monster, but I believe the screens are actually made by LG (same as the apple cinema display but cheaper). I wish my creative juices flowed earlier than 4am, that's when all my best work gets done.

Posted by pete at March 26, 2006 08:18 PM

A music video! How appropriate, because Sam, you rock. I wish I could adequately express how much I love DDOI, how much it adds to my everyday existence, how your pictures are so beautiful they make my throat ache. Thank you so much for sharing your work - even when you're right in the middle of it!

Peace,

Dana R.

baby-eating? the "liberals" are the pro-choice advocates... anyways, glad to see another glimpse of your work environment-- every creative genius has one, but most are never revealed.

Posted by kevin at March 26, 2006 10:00 PM

Some nice horsepower on that workstation!

Posted by D MacIntyre at March 26, 2006 10:33 PM

The 1905FP is a Samsung panel, as is the 2405FPW. The 2005FPW is an LG-Philips design. Much love to my 1905FP, the fact that it is an 8-bit LCD means so much more colour depth. I bought it because it was a re-badged Samsung, not because it's a Dell.

Posted by KorruptioN at March 27, 2006 12:01 AM

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!!

Posted by siavash at March 27, 2006 01:40 AM

Hi,
How come you keep every shot so sharp?
Nice panel you have...

Posted by Hunt Tran at March 27, 2006 02:03 AM

Same spec machine as mine. Except mine has 3Gb of RAM. Bloody wonderful machine - even CS2 feels speedy on it.

Posted by Aegir at March 27, 2006 02:34 AM

Ah yes, dual screens rock. That's about the only thing I like about my job :-) To those who don't have two screens and are wondering what all the fuss is about: It's like the feeling you got when you bought your first hard drive. You end up wondering how you ever lived without it. At home I only have the one screen (cos the company isn't paying for my home kit!)... and it's a real drag!

Anyway, despite the cool 'tech' factor of this shot, I think it's time for you to get back outside Sam! Take it easy :-)

Posted by David [mondaymorningphoto.com] at March 27, 2006 03:00 AM

Thanks for cleaning your desk before taking the shot! ;-)

Posted by Manuel (SF Daily Photo) at March 27, 2006 03:12 AM

Man, I wish I had your job... you use all the software I use in my spare time. :)

Posted by martin at March 27, 2006 09:19 AM

A fun insight into how you go about your work - very cool! Cool shadows and light, too.
