it is a good tool of marketing, although you do not need it!
Posted by Ramon at March 22, 2006 05:08 AMVery cool!
Posted by Dave MacIntyre at March 22, 2006 08:09 AMNo WAY! That's awesome. I like the signature 'Holga Bitch' sign in the background.
Posted by Scott Murdoch at March 22, 2006 09:09 AMVery cool. I want a button so I might have to buy a print. Hope you sell some. Great idea.
Posted by Moeview at March 22, 2006 09:11 AMthose are great buttons - and a great photo
Posted by faustina at March 22, 2006 09:43 AMSam, I hope you are sueing her! You need to squash this crap right away! No one has the rights to your photos. Oh, she's just paying homage, blah, blah, it's all a bunch of crap! She's stealing from you and she's a thief! Send her to Austrailia!
P.s. I don't think you should rule out checking under your bed at night! I had a girl who made me buttons once. It turned out that it was me in a dress but in my defence my medecine had run out, and I looked damn good in a dress.
Posted by keith at March 22, 2006 09:49 AMThat is awesome!! Ali did a great job. Oh, and the photo is really nice too.
Posted by David Warren at March 22, 2006 11:38 AMLove this photo, Sam -- She did a better job with your buttons than mine :-)
Posted by bob at March 22, 2006 12:55 PMWhat a neat idea! Very clever.
Posted by L Jackson at March 22, 2006 02:04 PMVery cool...I want to order some for my boyfriend :)
Posted by Niusha at March 22, 2006 02:33 PMVery, very nice.
Posted by Tom from (Lucerne Times) at March 22, 2006 04:16 PMGlossy.
Sam, would you consider selling just the buttons? I'd happily pay a couple a quid for the privilege of owning something like that. I'd love to get some prints, but there's no way I can afford it at the moment - a badge would be a cool compromise
Posted by C. at March 22, 2006 04:32 PMcool shot..
btw, u not a gifting spree :P - i'd like to have one for free.. [oh, i did rhyme in the comment :)]
this shot sucks
Posted by tee at March 22, 2006 08:10 PMSouldn't it be DDOI or daily does of imagery?
Posted by tee at March 22, 2006 10:17 PMThe Big Block letter is so old school. Can it be smaller and gathered right at the center and so it would look like a nipple from far? That's how I would prefer it to look.
Posted by Boreo at March 22, 2006 10:51 PMmaybe I should get some butions of my own realy rad
Posted by tbone at March 22, 2006 11:44 PMMan, this picture is terrible...not up to your standards at all. And buttons? Please.
Posted by frank at March 23, 2006 12:21 AMIs Keith serious? It doesn't seem like a reason to sue, but there may be more to the story than I know. I do think this is a pretty neat idea and she did a good job. I also do hope that she is not somebody just trying to rip pictures off your site so she can make money off of them by adding her own touch to them. I do like the picture though and how you added a part of her in there with the sign. And of course the great DOF too and the middle button being just a tiny bit to the right and down a touch. Very nice.
Posted by Nate at March 23, 2006 11:00 AMThere is more to the story: I'm not a stalker, or ripping off Sam's photos, or selling buttons with his images - I made them just for Sam, who I know in person, as we have a mutual friend in common.
Posted by Lala at March 23, 2006 07:03 PMInteresting how your detractors rarely leave contact information... I like this shot, especially in the color mix. And I really like the HOLGA in the background!
