Comments: gehry models

Nice shots, much more artistic than most documentary shots. The top one almost looks real.

Oh I love this effect, with ps you've made these shots appear as if they were little models!

I'm joking.

not a mac user!? I'm shocked ;)
Be sure to check out Aperture while your there, one of the greatest applications to happen to photographers.

Great shots too, the second to last one is just brilliant

Some of these close ups you've done on these can look so real and full size. Untill I look close. These are very cool looking. I like the one with the trees the best.

I'm not sure I can accept these structures as reasonable buildings. While there's an inexactness about the bent metal in the models - even sloppy looking to me - I also see this problem in finished buildings using the stainless sheeting. More important than the looks of any music oriented building is the acoustical quality inside. That is never known exactly until the building is finished, though there are lots of guide lines to having them work they don't, necessarily. Sound is a devil.

I find this architectural work to be too fanciful and lacking a natural-to-live-&-work-in feel - to me. But it is artful.

The quality of Sam's pictures is tops of course.

I was in Chicago last autumn and saw Gehry's ampitheatre and pedestrian bridge, really nice up close.
