The icey layer adds nicely to the photo. I like it.
Posted by Kenny at February 19, 2006 08:48 AMHow curious. Interesting texture. In the distillery district again, eh?
I know I hardly ever noticed winter when I spent 9 years in Toronto 1963 - 72.
With ice about take care on that bike. I know I found it easier to ride a bike on ice than to walk on the same ice - but you do have to learn the limits of it - and best with a mountain bike witha flat profiled rear tire. I did 17 years biking the winters in Ottawa with lots of snow to plough through. Way quicker than busses or walking and warmer than walking. Also fun and cheap.

Posted by tee at February 19, 2006 01:05 PMI was just thinking -- does that label at the bottom read "Medium w/ Toasted Heads" ?
If so, what exact type of "heads" are toasted in there? :P

Posted by Chris [57 Degrees] at February 19, 2006 04:32 PMTell me about it. I got use to the mild weather that when I went out last night I wasn't prepared for the freezing weather. I almost got frost bite:) Neat, very neat, photo!

About today image, it's funny to see how the cold weather is affecting the entire world. Last month, it snowed here for the first time in 52 years.
Posted by nuno f at February 19, 2006 06:31 PMI like the pattern that formed on the ice as the water froze.
Posted by Micki in Virginia at February 19, 2006 09:04 PMI enjoyed seeing your TV interview, thanks for the link. And as for this photograph... maybe some day that will be all that's left from our great civilization: some random items covered with thick layer of ice (when another ice age begins).
