Comments: red wall, blue bike

I'm pretty sure the biker has used only one hand to control his/her bike! cuz the other one was busy with Tim Hortons' cup!!

oh dude! i didnt saw your comment about the cup and so i put such a stupid comment :)

Fantastic shot, love the red brick wall :D

Very nice, I like it.
Congratulations for the site, i've been following it for some months now, hope many more to come.

Hmm, I love Tim Hortons. They make the best doughnuts. This isn't really one of your best photos but it is alright. I personally don't like it as much as previous photographs. I think if the red wall coverd up the entire page rather than having the little opening on the left side, it would have more of an effect. Nevertheless, this is a good picture. Is that your bike?

Thanks Sam, I'm a daily visitor who spent a year in Toronto living in this very house. I have to recommend the naturopath's office on the ground floor! Kensington Market is a most amazing community, and it was a privilege to live there. I'm back in Dublin now, but your blog means Toronto stays alive for me. Thanks again, Davin.

i have fallen for you, i think... is that the way you say it when you think you are in love with someone through his work? im from argentina and i studied a lot of english but there are some feelings i dont know how to express them.... bad writting! ok, i love your photos!

This one could also be titled "Natural Habitat" for the coffee cup. They dislike being inside any structure - particularly pick-up trucks, jumping out the window at the earliest opportunity after being emptied!
Oh... A great shot as well.

Cool shot. For some weird reason my attention is drawn to that cup on the ground. Nice colors.

I like Toronto´s wall.

Tim's cups have a way of sneaking into shots.

Sam,
Forgive the bluntness, but you really have to get over your obsession with crappy mountain bikes. They seriously detract--and more so because of their frequency on your blog--from some otherwise legitimate photos.

This is beautiful. The intense red, the blue bike, but also the blue grafitty that makes the bike's blue color come out. Plus the diagonal cable and the visible sidewalk on the bottom... This is a great photograph.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this picture was the "Diver Down" flag for scuba :)

Beautiful as always.

boooooooooooring. sorry.

weow.. its nice n cool.

Nice, clean graphicky shot........also a fun contrast to yesterday's busy one. I like how the graffiti blue matches the bike, the cup matches the wall, and the guywire matches the snow....a tri-colour photo. Thanks, Sam!

This picture reminds me of the old days, when we used to have winter and snow in Toronto........

The photo's colours are blown out. The plastic coverings on wires are yellow in Toronto, not white. Is it just my screen?

Brrrr.....looks cold...love the red wall with the white ground...cool pic!!

Posted by heidi at January 10, 2006 06:37 PM

not as sharp or beautiful as a lot of your work, and i agree with nathan about the bike. however, it still has sam written all over it and i can look at it and tell you took it which says a lot of positive about your photos and ideas. thanks for bringing toronto and the snow to someone who is stuck in sunny san diego, ca :)

I really like the play between the wall and the bike here. The negative space works well.

Posted by photojunkie at January 11, 2006 12:06 PM

Is there anything to like here? Not even the composition cuts it for me this time.

Posted by A.R. at January 11, 2006 04:19 PM

Great color! Whatever it is that is striping this foto adds a cool sense of depth.
