Your photographs are absolutely astounding! I love this one I must check out sticher, thank you for sharing. Happy new year!

As usual, nothing short of brilliant. I especially love the picture's verticality. Magnifique!

Posted by John at January 2, 2006 05:44 AM

Beautifully done.

Very Nice. I like the flock of birds hanging from the ceiling the way they have come out. The bottom part of the image looks a little stretched. Happy New Year.

It's very nice panorama shot of the mall.
Perfect...

Posted by Pooriya at January 2, 2006 09:31 AM

wow.. so good and original vertical cyclorama...
great idea
i very much like the birds in the upper part... looks almost real... and therefore a bit unreal as well (hope you know what i mean)

Were they taken simultaneously? How did you make sure the people were in the same spot so that there aren't any obvious breaks?

Posted by Ed at January 2, 2006 10:24 AM

Incredible!! You've captured the exact essence of the Eaton Centre. A perfect place to people watch. Your comment at the bottom gave me my morning laugh. Thanks.

You are doing a fantastic job there. Is there any chance that you release some of your photos so that one may distribute them? Maybe under a not-for-commercial-use license? What I have in mind is some sort of wallpaper package or database which may be used by screensavers etc. to display nice photos from around the world.

Something went wrong in your stiching. The bottom is all distorted and looks stretched.

Posted by Bryan at January 2, 2006 11:46 AM

Very pleasant! No half persons! A surgical stitch...

Posted by Willem at January 2, 2006 12:00 PM

Very Good!!!
The best capture of the Eaton's Centre that I've seen anywhere.

The usual sharpness is not found in this pic. I don't find the yellow tone appealing either. The cool thing in this pic is that you may find my footprint in the food court area.

I am always amazed with your pics. This one was just fantastic. We have been to your site on a daily basis for over a year now, and have turned our friends on to it as well. Your site has inspired me to perfect my own phopography. You don't need luck in the coming year, you have skill!!!

Good shots. I'm curious how you did the four seperate images. It says handheld - and I know I've done a panorama with hand held shots, but I took 12 images to get the value of 6 in a horizontal.

The match on these seems perfect. Nice job.

And after viewing the small flckr version I'll go for this large one and scroll. Browser size is too small in truth, for a special like this.

Happy new year ddoi!
Those birds in front give live to the pic.
Very good.

Posted by mistralcolors at January 2, 2006 01:32 PM

Excellent shot. It's not often that you see vertical panoramas, and this one certainly has a lot to look at.

Posted by Mark D at January 2, 2006 02:10 PM

I understand the stitching but why is it blur? Did the prgram blur it?

Posted by Ali at January 2, 2006 02:24 PM

Nice!

Posted by Sandy B at January 2, 2006 02:37 PM

Neat idea! It must've been difficult to get the exposure just right on the transition from the bright ceiling to the mall. Were you using a wide-angle? I noticed the very bottom looks a bit distorted.

Posted by Jason Dunsmore at January 2, 2006 03:02 PM

Cool, it looks almost perfectly seamless. Amazing.

Once again, gotta thank you for letting me see "my" city that I'm away from. . .love it!

Posted by A thinker at January 2, 2006 03:02 PM

Brilliant

Posted by M at January 2, 2006 04:14 PM

Amazing - I love these long shots you stitch together!

Posted by Abe at January 2, 2006 07:48 PM

what's with the out of focus-ness? I've seen 'stictched' photos from you before and they weren't as distorted.. Any particular reason??

Posted by Paul at January 2, 2006 09:27 PM

Wow! Fun little experiment. Good work!

Posted by mari at January 2, 2006 10:11 PM

From far away it makes me think of an Escher, with the birds flying away from the pattern...

Posted by Kyle at January 3, 2006 12:40 AM

Good use of perspectives here...can see 3 different perspective as it scrolls up n down...nicely taken and stitched...good work :) cheers and best wishes

You never cease to amaze me with your original takes on such simplistic and menial things as shopping malls. Happy New Years and keep coming with the great photos; I look foward to the homepage everytime I open up my browser.

Finally, I see someone else using the stitch feature. I LOVE this!! I insisted to DH that any digital camera of mine must have this feature. It is just way fun & nets really interesting photos. Keep posting!!
