This is another interesting shot! I love the colour of the sky set against the pure white of the snow.

great Fargo shot!! There's enough snow, now you just need the guy and the wood chipper in the background...now I need to watch that movie again!

really beautiful ! :)

I really like hte textures on the wooden walls, the snow on the uneven strairs... looked like no one had stepped on them after the snow. The trailer top and the horizon frame in the snow very nicely.

thanks for the tip. for today's photo on my website, i attempted to mimic your signature style of framing. check it out.

I usually just leave the camera in the bag (if it's in the centre of a large bag, the better) without a plastic bag, leave it near an external door for an hour. That way it can "thaw" slowly without condensation. Works up to 40 below. Any colder and I'm too chicken to go out!

You're getting a lot of mileage out of your trip to the junkyard north of Toronto. Hope you got some nice shots of the moon last night. Cheers.

Interesting composition. I like the bare, desolate feel of this photo.

First: I'm puzzled why my address info is occasionally deleted when I have it checked to remember. Of course, you may have no answer to that either. I just re-enter it of course.

The picture is interesting. Decay has that kind of fascination and you present it well.

You do raise an important question on using the camera in the cold. My film Olympus IS1 SLR has a "do not use below -10 C", warning though I've been out in slightly cooler. I'm also not sure that most digitals will not have low temperature problems when they get cold - more battery than the mechanical of film cameras. For that reason I've contemplated keeping the camera in a plastic zip top bag and under my coat to keep it warm. The bag's necessary to prevent persperation from getting into the camera which is just as bad if not worse than the condensation you get coming back from the cold.

But you seem to be having no too-cold-to-work problems. Good of you to post the comment.

Sorry but i'd have to say that the composition seems a little weak here. But your trademark clarity is still here.
