This makes me very interested in seeing tomorrow's post...
Posted by Kyle at November 29, 2005 02:28 AMBoo, now I wanna see tomorrow's shot now! ;)
I like the reflection in the left window.
Posted by Namira at November 29, 2005 02:28 AMYesterday got our hopes up but i guess it's back to the boring...
Posted by david at November 29, 2005 02:45 AMI like the feel of texture in this shot
Posted by Andy M at November 29, 2005 05:05 AMFirst time I've seen a red brick road, nice composition, and great colours.
Posted by Dan at November 29, 2005 05:13 AMimho, the pic would be too boring without the lower part showing the perspective
Posted by sami jan at November 29, 2005 06:47 AMi like all that red brick! Very nice with all the color!
Posted by stephanie at November 29, 2005 06:55 AMvery good use the color in this shot.
Posted by Pooriya at November 29, 2005 07:58 AMi dont think there is too much at the bottom. its nice.
Posted by Jesse at November 29, 2005 10:13 AMWow! This place looks drunk. Talk about colorful artful mess. I wonder what it looked like new? Likely not as much fun. Nice windows. Time sure is hard on us. Um! I just had my 74rh bday 2 days ago and I think I'm doing better'n the wall.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at November 29, 2005 10:34 AMTomorrow's shot is just as intriguing as you meant it to be ;-). I'll probably stay up late to check DDoI about 2am.
I am sure the tie in with tomorrow's shot will be an interesting solution, but I fail to see the problem. There is enough going on in the foreground to keep it interesting.
Congratulations to Hugh Petrie on getting started on his 75th year. It is probably a great occassion, but I cannot remember now just how I greeted the idea of attaining my first 3/4 of a century.
A brilliant photo and I don't know about tomorrow's post but the perspective is great.
Posted by Livy at November 29, 2005 12:39 PMthis is azim! beautiful.
Posted by effat at November 29, 2005 12:49 PMSomeone should convert the old distillery into a sub-divided art community. A similar thing was done here in Los Angeles with the old Helms Bakery (which decades ago delivered bread to doorsteps). It now hosts art galleries, chic restaurants, jazz clubs, antique furniture shops, and design studios.
Posted by Kevin at November 29, 2005 01:00 PMBrilliant colors. Very very nice. Great job.
Posted by Patrick at November 29, 2005 01:12 PMKevin,
The Distillery District has already been refurbished and sub-divided. Coffee shops, art galleries, reception hall and restaurants. I think you can even buy a segway there (ugh!). Oh and condos condos condos of course.
Posted by Michael at November 29, 2005 01:17 PMNice shot. A macro version of something I did a while ago:

I like yours better. :)
Posted by Anatole at November 29, 2005 01:35 PMI think you're right about there being too much at the bottom, but only a bit too much mind. Great colours, I concur with just about everyone else, can't wait for tomorrow!
Posted by Ben at November 29, 2005 02:02 PMAlong with the St. Lawrence Market area, the D.D. is easily my favourite place in Toronto.

"But I want it nowwwwwww"

Taken from:
subplot: moe's family feedbag]
[Moe's gimmicky restaurant is getting underway and a huge fryer arrives outside...]
Barney : "What's that?"
Moe : "It's a deep-fryer...I picked it up from the Navy. That baby can flash-fry a buffalo in under 40 seconds."
Homer : "40 seconds?...Awwww, but I want it now!"
I love the colours of this photo. Also the 'maps' revealed by the bricks in the wall are great.
Posted by Javier Armas at November 29, 2005 02:57 PMMe, I like the stuff at the bottom; it emphasizes how incredibly bricky the place is, and that's really the main reason I like this photo. The top's a bit irritating, though.
Posted by telly at November 29, 2005 05:02 PMreally great colours sam , well done !
this kind of shots reminds us many whers in Iran .
I'm always anticipating a new post... this just makes it more intense. haha
Posted by amc at November 29, 2005 11:35 PMExactly a year ago...i took the same picture. Click HERE .
Your's has the perspective of the tiles at the bottom, which makes it a lot better.
Posted by viajero at November 30, 2005 12:18 AMBold saturations - very cool against the brick.
