Comments: metal door at 102

I wonder what goes on inside 102!

Could it be a Hell's Angels' bunker or VERY exclusive bar?

Now that's gotta be someplace cool.. and probably not a metalworks shop. So mysterious and strange...

Um, whoa. Last summer, I had a job where I had to knock on doors and talk to the people who lived behind those doors. I would be scared to knock on this door. I'd also be scared to photograph it so bravo to you. It shows courage. Plus the picture is nice. So that means you're a courages photographer who also takes good pictures. Yes, I must spell things out.

This is a great photography love the texture of the door wis I'd have taken this!

Posted by Andy at November 26, 2005 03:02 AM

Could there be any more textures to this door?! I wonder who lives in a house like this?

The knocker, the mail slot, the peek hole, the absence of a knob-just a keyhole, it all looks so menacing. I wonder what's in there.

Not sure what's better, the shot or the door.

Is this the hotel that has all the unique rooms painted by local artists? I'm going there in March!

Posted by M.Aubie at November 26, 2005 06:12 AM

Marvellous, absolutely marvellous. An extra-ordinary picture of an extra-ordinary subject. There are lots of signs showing the door has been designated like this and on the contrary so many signs to say it belonged to Stone Age ;^)
Whatever the door is, your sharp eye to catch such an object the way you did it is adorable.
Keep going.

Modern Inetrnet is also entirely consists of the patches, if you know how everything works inside. And has some holes.
But works...

This is great! Reminds me of a Louise Nevelson sculpture.

Posted by Jodi at November 26, 2005 09:31 AM

Door by Louise Nevelson? Nice--door and shot.

It would have been even more exciting if it was "Room 101" - this is how I imagine the door to it would look like... scary! ;)

Posted by Fred at November 26, 2005 01:43 PM

I love the picture, just something about it draws me in.

Posted by Taylor at November 26, 2005 02:33 PM

I don't find it scary, just very intreging.
It kind of looks like it is made out of chocolate.

Posted by Marie-Claire at November 26, 2005 05:48 PM

Now isn't that a welcoming look. What's behind it? New York Cities Heroin supply? And a very ordinary key lock. There's more to this than meets the eye.

Bizarre, Sam, totally Bizarre! Thanks.

Looks like a portal to another world. Narnia, maybe? And the colors are awesome. I like the way the buzzer box stands out in contrast to the browns. Great shot.

This lovely pic has been featured as a "Photoshop" on http://fark,com
Some of the entries are quite nice. :-)

breathtaking. and not necessarily in a benevolent way... whoever came up with this door has a unique way of looking at the world. and it goes without saying that your photography skills are matched completely by your photo-subject. keep on digging up the beautiful strangeness, it has a wonderful way of letting the imagination jump off a cliff...
