hay sam
u r just tooo good gone thru all ur phonographs they a simply g8888 i like them all......
I like the look of film in this. Great subject and composition for a fisheye shot!
Posted by Abe at November 23, 2005 05:23 AMI love this shot It has a dynamic and vibrancy which makes a standard shot of a veg stall look like a work of art.
Posted by Andy at November 23, 2005 05:35 AMThe familiar capsicums! Such a weird perspective especially with the lens border.
Posted by Ed { tfk } at November 23, 2005 06:06 AMLove it! Great shot and thank you! anne
Posted by anne at November 23, 2005 06:36 AMthis is too cool! I like this better than the other market photo. must be a fun toy!
Posted by stephanie at November 23, 2005 09:28 AMAliens are attacking us, and clearly they are after our peppers!! And Sam is in cahoots. Screw you Sam, you sold us out.
Posted by keith at November 23, 2005 09:38 AMAs a long time photographer - 60 years - I'm not impressed with this camera's image. Very soft focus and not so fish eye as I would want. But I suppose it was cheap to buy and you are an experimenter. I much prefer the previous shot of the market for it's drama in silhouette.
At least I know I won't buy the camera.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at November 23, 2005 10:47 AMUh.. This is special ! Hahaha... I like it !
Posted by Martin at November 23, 2005 10:51 AMInteresting shot. Especially because it shows that the eye of the photographer is more important than the equipment. It's just pure photography: making an image with light. With a very expensive camera and a very expensive lense it would not necesarily have become a better picture.
Posted by Henk Bakker at November 23, 2005 11:47 AMi'm also not too impressed with this shot. too grainy and too much noise. i prefer your usual crip, clean, vibrantly colored shots. i can't really find the point of focus here. i would imagine it may be a bit diffiicult to focus with a fisheye though.
Posted by rich at November 23, 2005 12:19 PMi like this shot and i like it alot, the grain is nice, even the light refraction which i'm generally not a fan of is nice and i love the effect of the mural in the background! we all know you take amazing crisp "professional" shots but its nice to see that you're comfortable enough to throw up your experimental shots... very cool (Y)
Posted by shaun at November 23, 2005 12:52 PMhey, i dig this photo huge. The crazy sunflare rocks the image, and quite like the fisheye distortion in this one.
Its awesome that you have no problem experimenting with these type of shots...the colour tones are sweet fall tones.
Posted by 6oh at November 23, 2005 01:01 PMHope the sun didn't damage your camera...Oh wait, it's lomo...Never mind lol.
I have a similar pic, just without the use of a fish eye http://www.glimpse.zeeblo.com/pblog/showimage/7/
Nice to see you're still playing with toys :) I'd love to see more LC-A shots. I'ma huge fan of both the camera and your eye. Cheers!
Posted by j_ro at November 23, 2005 10:28 PMare you wearing a life vest?
Posted by mark at November 23, 2005 10:41 PMI'm so glad to find your great photoes on the cyberspace. good luck man
Posted by Sam at November 23, 2005 10:43 PMIt's a rather festive and Thanksgiving-y shot. There's a lot of story that can be gathered from it. Thanks for all of the inspiration!
Posted by e l i s s a at November 24, 2005 01:18 AMThis is a very creative use of this camera. I love flares, and they seem to appear even better with this lens!
Posted by Ioannis at November 27, 2005 08:40 AMI enjoy a good fisheye picture and i love how the mood is changed with the change of perspective compared to the other shot you linked.
And for those who were talking about it -- there is a fixed focus on the fisheye lomo. You point and shoot and there are no adjustments you make. The lens is not pro quality, so yep you do have grain and flare and a home grown feeling with the camera. Check out lots of other crazy and well done fisheye work over at http://www.lomography.com/homesDeLuxe/.
