Nice picture and instantly recognisable, unlike many streets in the UK which are beginning to all look the same!

Lovely place. I remember this HMV from when I visited Oxford for a summer school when I was 12.

wow. amazing detail. how did you get it from so high up? doesn't seem like there are any buildings that tall.

Nice pic.

I wish my vertigo had allowed me to reach the top of Carfax!

Heh, I've never seen it from that angle before!

It's amazing how the horizon is so flat, considering it's in a (small) city... nice shot!

there is something very compelling about this photo!

beautiful pic! makes me want to fly over to Europe and shoot around!

this is too cool!! Oxford looks so beautiful! I love the angle you have on this and the colors! This is great!

I note two things here; one being the distortion of the wide angle lens - hard to beat unless you have a tilt/swing lens. And that considered, as one person noted, the horizon is flat, whichis odd considering the wide angle lens set used.

More interesting is that there is only one obvious Moslem lady and that she's in the foreground of the picture. There might be another at distance who's wearing a dark colored hajib which would be hard to detect, but it doesn't seem so. I might have expected to see more Moslems - I guess I'm wrong in that expectation. Certainly as to orthodox women.

A very interesting perspective. You do take effort at finding the right spot.

I'm loving these pics of Oxford. I was a student there 20 years ago, at least some things don't change! (But I thought Austin Reed (bottom right) had folded...)

Your camera gives you superpowers so you can fly to such great heights doesnt it?

Great job at capturing the crowds.

There's an awesome little cookie shop right near here. Or at least, there used to be. Great shot.

This photo just made me dizzy like I was there looking down on this town. Very weird effect when I first seen this shot. Now that is powerful

This is such a great wide-angle shot... So well composed. The muted earthtones are great here.
