One of the tings I like best about shooting pictures is to play around with DOF, so these pictures are right up my alley!

Great series of shots. I received mine yesterday in the mail, but unfortunately haven't tested it out yet. Looking forward to it now, after seeing these shots!

Good morning. Your photoblog is very great. It is wonderful to see your new entry everyday. How can you find almost everyday an interesting place or composition to show?? Yes you are a very good photographer. People still don't accept u usually don't use software to retouch... But people don't know a lot about photography technics isn't it? ;)

I like the text on the first picture .)

Great tool! The unsharpness at the outsides makes the sharp part look even sharper.

Good lord! These are /great/ :-)

Ooo, cool. Very nice. I may have to consider getting the macro adapters for my Lensbaby--I'm a sucker for doing macro anyway.

Posted by Dan at November 10, 2005 09:28 AM

ooooh, nice! I have been coveting a lensbaby of my very own since before the was the 'version i' and 'version ii'.

i bet you'll have fantastic fun with them.
: )

Posted by mcbeth at November 10, 2005 01:34 PM

ok, I really like these!!! I'm very good at them.

1 the one on the bottom is in a painter hat.
2 the painter doesn't have bags under his eyes. (but that's because the astronaut shoots porn on the side, so he was up all night. Pun intended)
3 the painter is writing by candle light.
4 the painter is gay
5 the top picture is a newspaper.

How many differences can you find?

Coop.

I heard a lot of times that the focusing with macro can be a pain in a**. Maybe because I'm no pro and maybe also because I never had a macro lens I can't understand why, could somebody explain why is it so hard. I mean, you either focus on something or you don't, it's not like you can turn the ring in more than two directions.

Hi Sam,

I'm a german student and I write my own blog on http://nur-scheuer.de .
I've got a section where I present my favourite blogs and yours was just
added :)
You'll find it on
http://www.nur-scheuer.de/?item=my-favourite-blogs-daily-dose-of-imagery

I'll be very thankful if you visit my blog.

Yours
K-M

PS: I can host big wallpapers of your pictures if you want to. I'm using a big
2560x1024 dual screen and like to use your pictures as wallpapers but they
are too small.

"In the Canadian Wilderness - Until we invade them too. $39.95"

Wow! They sure have a sense of humour.

We'll beat their ass the way we did the last time they tried to invade us. They don't know what we have up our sleeves.

Weird subject matter. But fun. Your new gadgets seem quality. I assume a straight on shot would give edge to edge sharpness and NO barreling?

I got a macro lens a number of months ago and I love it. Just the other weekend I also took some shots out of a book as well and they turned out pretty cool. I find the DOF preview is very handy. Do you use that when composing any of your shots?

Posted by Joe at November 10, 2005 04:49 PM

i like it, i love it, i want some more of it!

Posted by Traci at November 10, 2005 05:44 PM

Wonderful shots. The artwork is lovely as well. Only one point to note. It's probably not cheaper to print it in Singapore. China is where it's cheaper. I should know, I live in Singapore :-)
