Comments: panning cp24

i love your panning shots. i've tried copying you, and they all come out blurry and indistingushible.

Hey Sam -- you are indeed the master of the panning technique. And still at 1/13secs -- THE magic number that I learned from you. :-)

Love it! Tough enough, but to get the CP24 going buy... priceless.

Another good shot using the lensbaby :)

Great shot. Seems you are getting to know the lensbaby. You have really caught the speed in the image which is nice and still have their logo crisp and clear. The blur that the lensbaby did to the rear of the car emphasize the feeling of speed even more, great job!

Nice yse of the lens baby. I see to many pics using it for the sake of using it. But you done something different with it.

Nice :)

This is a very cool shot. Did you mean xp24 or cp24?

Posted by Nate at November 2, 2005 06:15 AM

Good subject. Got deadlines to meet!

CP24 should buy that image from you... it's the perfect "When you see news, we see it first" sort of advertising image.

Fantastic!

Sam Javanrouh: Everywhere!

Posted by Michael at November 2, 2005 01:25 PM

Yeah! Sell it to CP24, they'll buy it for sure!

Posted by Scott Murdoch at November 2, 2005 01:26 PM

sweet stuff...fantastic how even on a pan shot, the side lettering on the vehicle is so crisp.

Posted by 6oh at November 2, 2005 02:48 PM

Well I've said I don't like out of focus pics, but this is different. Psychedelic!

You are good at panning. 1/13th sec. is slow.

Interestingly, when I was 13 and first picked up a camera - an old Kodak box brownie - it was taking a pic of a football player running, jumping and throwing a ball, and getting a sharp image, that really captured my sense of ability and interest. As others have noted, you have a good sense of synched time in a pan shot.

Still no match for the pumpkins. That's a killer.

Hee hee, have you seen this Sam?

I enjoy looking at your photos, however I find this image rather boring.

Posted by J3K at November 2, 2005 04:09 PM

The obvious thing to love is your choice of subject (CITYTV-everywhere!). It's not the best shot, the fact that the whole vehicle is not in focus makes it look negatively commercial.

Posted by A.R. at November 2, 2005 04:17 PM

Where is the driver? Is it an escaped vehicle haunting the streets of Toronto as captured by Sam? Could it possibly be another Halloween shot? :)

Posted by Susie at November 2, 2005 05:00 PM

Looks awesome.

Posted by Ayan at November 2, 2005 05:07 PM

Susie-lol funny comments regarding the ghost car! Sorry to ruin your fun but the driver's silhouette is faintly visible through the passenger's tinted window.

Posted by A.R. at November 2, 2005 08:43 PM

i like this one. Citytv EVERYWHERE!

Posted by tee at November 2, 2005 09:47 PM

Post a panning tutorial Sam :-) I love it!

You have the best pan shots anywhere. I am experimenting and posting some of my own, but have a long way to go.
