Comments: old planes

Hey, the shots are nice but is it really necessary to show all three? I think one would stand on it's own better than seeing three similar shots at the same time. But that's just my opinion.

pretty pics, ugly planes

Great cropping, the clouds are subtly nice.

Interesting composition especially in the middle shot. You make the plane seem more like an integral part of the landscape, something you need to take a moment to figure out the total outline and function of.

If you haven't been up to check it out yet, Toronto has a new Aerospace muesem (http://www.torontoaerospacemuseum.com/) too.

The way you took these pictures is really excellent !

It really scientific :)

I like how you stretched the shot over 3 pictures. Museumn really looks like the best place for those planes.

nice colors and detail, a little dull, though. A focus more on the planes I think would have worked better.

and now in one piece....
love your blog, I check it almost on a regular bases

Consistantly stuck to the lowwer part of the frame over and over- forever grounded; I think the three pics work.

Your best work is exhibited when you wander the streets of Toronto (or Oxford).

i love the middle photo. it was nice to be able to compare and contrast the three together. it works!

You have a heavy interest in clouds, which, I suppose, goes with planes, but using two verticals instead of one horizontal is weird. But then sometimes weird wins. I'm not sure what to conclude here, Sam. It's not so much a shot of planes as it is of clouds.

Whoops! I accuse you (?) of using two verticals when in fact they are 2 horizontals. Sorry. Perhaps you could edit my first comment and drop this one?

Or just drop both. Ah me!

I think it would've been better if you'd put the pictures in the opposite order (the cockpit first- on the top), cause that way when you scroll down it will be like an animation (or a comic strip) of a passing plane .

remember "Destination: Moon"? When Captain and friends got the telegram, they flew to the research centre using a very similar aircraft :)

I like the concept here of the broken up panorama. Never seen it like this before.

Sam...I love your work! You are a great inspiration to me! Im studying Photography at college and I want to Study and research your work!

In the third photo, I think I can almost see the radar unit in the plane that's in the foreground. I like how you picked that up.

I'll avoid any obvious 911 jokes here, and just point out how magical it is that you were able to find two planes that are still in love with each other after all these years. At least that's what I saw, and I'm perfectly sane. Isn't that right Jesus? Yeah. He just high fived me.
