I think, of all your nature photography, your fall photos are consistently the best.
Posted by jeremyw at October 8, 2005 01:49 AMLove it!
Posted by Chris Nolan.ca at October 8, 2005 02:03 AMA large number of your photographs catch my breath in my throat. (It feels a sin to call them photographs; I take photographs on my vacations. You seem to capture moments of trembling beauty of the universe onto CompactFlash)
Thank you for your work. Images like this are incredible and rare.

Posted by 19 at October 8, 2005 03:06 AMWhen it comes to macros of plants your shots have a very definite style, it's sort of the mysteriously blank background and the sepia-esque feel of the photos.

Posted by jesse at October 8, 2005 05:21 AMGreat seasonal photo. I really like the subject matter and the dof. - [Chuks]
Posted by EOS Chaos at October 8, 2005 05:32 AMabsolutely stunning Sam. Man, you are getting so much out of that 17-40 and what great blur at f/4. Fantatsic shot.

And judging from Ila's comment it's your birthday - one day after my deceased mother's day. May you have many more years of joyous imaging.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at October 8, 2005 02:44 PMjust beautiful - the rain drops and the drooping leaves look so delicate.
Posted by Emma at October 8, 2005 02:46 PMI really look forward to your pictures. This one is no exception. Beautiful shot
Posted by Phil at October 8, 2005 03:10 PMyet another shot with such an artificial CG feel to it. I just love it.
Posted by lisa at October 8, 2005 03:14 PMthe DOF is just perfect, crisp details on this side of the twig, and all is blurred on the other side
Posted by kikko77 at October 8, 2005 03:26 PMI really like this. I've been trying to get a water dropplet shot like this, but just haven't pulled it off this nicely.
