Comments: brickworks lamps

Another fabulous one. I prefer the colours in the first pic but that stream of light really makes an impression.

I always thought they made bricks in molds out in the sun but i guess they had big furnaces like that to speed up the drying process.

It reminds me of steel smelters. Nice beam of light cutting through.

Were you there this Saturday morning? I was walking my dog and I saw a bunch of people with cameras and tripods going around. Must have been a dozen or so of them. Just wondering! Cool photo though.

Another awesome shot with the light streaming in hitting the dust, great work.

love the light on this series, very moody.

Beautiful shot! I can now see why you use 6sec, mainly for the light effects.

However, something bothers me: the black pole in front of the scenery (about 1/3rd from the right). It somehow "interrupts" the picture.

Then again, its useful for contrasting, making you focus more on the details of the scenery.

Wow, another great shot of a place that I live minutes away from, but have never been to.

The Brickworks is on Bayview Avenue, just south of Pottery road. Here's a link to a satelite shot of the place (you can zoom out for reference):

This place is already an interesting subject, but the shafts of light make it so much more incredible! Super job capturing that special lighting. I hope there's more to this series.

Wow, I was just searching for a simple picture of toronto on google, and low and behold I found your art, incredible!, I JUST recently moved out of my parents house and down to the city from Barrie, Ontario (eww), and I am enjoying myself. This picture pretty much sums up everything thats going on in my life right now (if you work from right to left), the repitition is overwhelming but further down the row, it does seem to get brighter. You have an amazing eye for photo's. Im thinking about painting my new appartment, but i would like to get some sort of design, so if you happen to come across something abstract, grab a quick shot please :), I will defently be visiting this website more and telling alot of my friends who are into photography aswell about this site..

thank you for the visual entertainment,

This place looks like a great setting for a movie. The kind of movie I'd love to see.

I this one just as much as the first one. I sooo wish I had an old building like that around here that I could get in to. Great job again Sam.

My first thought is great lighting, and then I look at the composition (great use of thirds) and colors and the shot is even better.
