I love this shot. There's so much showing on the refelction on the glasses. Wonderful!
Posted by Partha at September 29, 2005 01:06 AMGood shot, the colour work well.
I like the contrasts between the clouds and the building.
Great shot. The color of the clouds looks amazing.

Posted by Julie at September 29, 2005 03:14 AMStunning picture. The building looks like it is on fire!

Posted by mehran at September 29, 2005 04:07 AMwow, it looks like the whole city is on fire.
really cool picture
hi - love your photos. went to toronto earlier this year to stay with friends and one of the very noticeable aspects of the city is the way in which the architects have used glass to remarkable effect. the play of the reflections in windows/glass walls against the sky and other buildings is everywhere. this is something you capture very beautifully, i think.
Posted by naomi at September 29, 2005 06:25 AMDude!! That is awesome!!! To bad you couldn't turn around and get a shot of the clouds that are in the reflection. But, I guess you kind of got a 2 in 1 shot this way. Awesome photo Sam.
Posted by Nate at September 29, 2005 07:14 AMGenerally I am not that much for shots like this, but check the fire of the sun in the reflection of both the sun AND the cloud. Wowness and I dont even care if that is a word or not.
Posted by RobW at September 29, 2005 07:20 AMnow thats wicked. some fine too rated stuff,
Posted by tee at September 29, 2005 07:37 AMYou never cease to amaze me with your photographic abilities! This picture struck me this morning as I got ready to begin my day at work. I am an amature photographer and just got my start a year ago. Thank you for always sharing your art and for being an inspiration.

Posted by Sean Galbraith at September 29, 2005 08:07 AMSam: I've been a regular visitor (and Torontonian)for months but never posted. I always look forward to your photos of cloudscapes because there is no one that does it better. In fact when I now see an especially good cloud in Toronto I silently think-- wow, Sam should get that one. Anyway thanks for making all our lives that much more enjoyable.
Ciao,
Kate
Posted by Kate Armstrong at September 29, 2005 08:09 AMVery interesting photo. You certainly prooved that rules (three third composition in this case) are made to be broken. I don't like rules either.
The colors are also wonderful.
Heart stoppingly good!! you inspire me to do better.
Posted by Paul hullock at September 29, 2005 10:22 AMWow! The clouds menacing from behind the oblivious building, the fire of the sun reflected in the windows, makes not just for a stunning shot but one packed with emotion.
Posted by talk talk talk at September 29, 2005 10:45 AMBeautiful. Like a Maxfield Parish painting in modern times. Love the definition in the clouds.
Posted by Bob at September 29, 2005 11:25 AMFirst time that I leave a comment here but I visit your photoblog everyday for a long time. Your work is amazing.
I love the tonality of this photo. This would give a great wallpaper. : )
Posted by nuno f at September 29, 2005 11:36 AMPuzzling as it loads, but striking when it gets there. The half and half is defintely the way for this one.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at September 29, 2005 12:47 PMFantastic color! and sky! whau! nice!!!!
Posted by Tommie vega at September 29, 2005 01:00 PMWonderful! Nice 50/50 composition with the rigid structure of the building on the right vs. the dynamic cloud formation on the left. The color ties the two together nicely.
Posted by dcr at September 29, 2005 02:44 PMThis looks like a sun-burnt office. Nice colours and a interesting split.
Posted by Dutch PhotoDay at September 29, 2005 04:23 PMYou always manage to capture the most fantastic city perspectives. You really do.
Posted by Kaelri at September 29, 2005 05:23 PMFirst time posting, but a long time visitor. This is almost futuristic in that the building looks like it has no end. With nothing to compare it's height to it seems menacingly (sp?) huge.
Posted by MC at September 29, 2005 05:37 PMIt almost looks like two halves of separate photos. Nice.
Posted by lisa at September 29, 2005 06:51 PMthis is an amazing shot, almost as if it is two separate pictures put together, the building has a very sharp edge too it. awesome!
Posted by mike wbl at September 29, 2005 07:02 PMThere really has been some amazing weather patterns in Toronto lately. I'm loving it, and it seems you've captured some of it as well. Good job.
