Hurrah for Salad King! That place is a godsend to Ryerson Students.
Posted by Hans in Toronto at September 18, 2005 02:21 AMImpressive macro, the fork looks great.
Posted by Ed { tfk } at September 18, 2005 02:53 AMHmm... wonder if it would have been better if you focussed on the tips of the fork instead? Anyway nice pic. The fork doesn't look too clean... hmm

Posted by Dan at September 18, 2005 07:51 AMMy girlfriend (ex-pat Torontonian) always raves about that place, and we always go there when we visit (as well as to Sneaky-Dees, Sushi on Bloor and a dozen other great places!).

Posted by bmarz at September 18, 2005 10:29 AMI find this picture fascinating. You must have been getting some pretty weird looks while taking it though. :-)
Posted by Lauren at September 18, 2005 11:35 AMI like this - simple yet really striking :)
Posted by emma at September 18, 2005 12:19 PMLooks like a spork. (Spoon fork)
A local 17 year old has a web site he calls the Happy Spork and he's one clever code writer/programer.
And I'd like the prices more out of focus, they take my appetite away - just 'cause I'm poor, eh!
I might comment that I'm finding my personal info is not being retained by the system forcing me to retype it in each time I decide to comment - depite the "yes" being selected.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at September 18, 2005 01:01 PMI feel so hungry now! Great use of the fork!
Posted by Beach Cottage Rental at September 18, 2005 02:40 PMthis one reminds me of some of the photos from the earlier days of ddoi... the macro shots you'd taken while awaiting food at various restaurants... well done :)

I eat there every Friday and I always get the chicken panang with 1 chilli. I have a friend that got 15 chilli. He was red in the face, sweating and didn't drink one glass of water. The owner, Linda, was impressed and gave him a small music voilin for his desk. Anyhow, your pictures are amazing. Have you been up to the ROM to take any pictures before the steel is covered?
