Excellent image! That background is magical.
Posted by Aaron Schmidt at September 14, 2005 01:16 AMthat background with that shirt/lighting is awesome, nice capture
Posted by blinking8s at September 14, 2005 01:43 AMThe entire picture is a nice shade of brown, which isn't bad.
I don't like the lighting though. The eyes are hidden by the shadows. I might've tweaked with the levels to lighten the shadows a bit.
Quite a dramatic background (is that for real?).
I like the combination of sepia-like coloring, combined with the light (on head and behind figure) and shadows effects, for a moody feeling.
Great contrast here. How did you manage to capture this? Great lighting!
Posted by Radman at September 14, 2005 09:04 AMCan u tell us what workflow do you have use in this las 2 pictures exactly, I love the "dark sepia style", I try to make something sepia today in my website.
Posted by Enric at September 14, 2005 01:54 PMHe kinda looks like Adam Clayton's brother..and the background has that feel of a Motown recording studio.
Posted by compass at September 14, 2005 03:19 PMI generally prefer your shots of structures, landscapes, cityscapes, etc, but it's been interesting to see your view on people. good work! and have a great time at tiff :)
Posted by payam at September 14, 2005 05:44 PMWonderful shot. Great tone, colour, composition and sharpness. I envy the time you have to not only see some movies at the TIFF but to be able to take part in some panels and discussions. Keep up the great work.

Posted by MICHAEL MANNING at September 14, 2005 10:18 PMTIFF is great and all, but lets get back to showing some of that mind blowing, inspiring photographs.
Posted by tee at September 14, 2005 10:50 PMLovely shot. Love the colour tone. And Michael Winterbottom is my favourite director.
Posted by Dan at September 15, 2005 09:42 PMPhoto is great, I love the composition and colours...but your description makes the film sound very much like 'adaptation' (another very good film)...is this so?
