Odd thing, though. This is the sort of thing that makes a typographer cringe. The spacing on that type really needs fixing up. I can't look at it without seeing all the spacing flaws. This is why we typographers are considered very odd....

Ahh, the notorious Stump! For those who don't know, The Stump is a building in the heart of the financial district that lost its financing (or so I've been told). All that was actually built was the beginnings of the elevator shafts. Now its just used for advertising.

Shouldn't someone buy this thing and turn it around? I'm looking at you, Trump.

I can see a couple of different images coming out, with a longer lens, but this is really nice. You don't want to give the sign-guy too much weight, and a closer crop might have done that.

The texture on the wall is my favourite part of the picture. It seems like you wouldn't be able to see it at a different angle.

I'm guessing that this was the startings of the bay-adelaide centre that was never finished. Last time I was in the area though it wasnt painted. It is too bad that it was painted with something interesting and artistic rather than advertising.

It's an interesting angle though, it looks like the scaffolding is not parallel with the ground and is going to fall. Interesting shot as always.

yeah i work really close to here. it's the wall of a building that never got finished...michael got it right: the Stump. they change ads every few months...and they're all really nicely designed :-)
