I really enjoy the bottom half of the photo. The combination of the brown reflection on the big building and the power line is really quite amazing.
Posted by Kevin at August 7, 2005 03:04 AMLooks like some sort of scary dream where the buildings are all closing in on you and filling your field of vision!
Who knew that there were such stunning diagonals to be found in Toronto... wonderful shot, Sam.
Posted by Molly at August 7, 2005 04:04 AMthat's a really great angle, i really like the darkened softened reflection on the removal zone sign from the office building.
Posted by philip at August 7, 2005 04:59 AMnice shot in nice situation.

Posted by nicolas at August 7, 2005 06:45 AMGreat shot, Sam!
For the third or fourth time this morning, I was trying to analyse the reasons this shot says so much more about the dynamics of a vibrant city than do the usual, static tall building shots.
The "Removal Zone" sign has started to say "Just keep out of our way".
Your images speak with a rare eloquence. Thanks.
good shot
Posted by [cz] at August 7, 2005 09:14 AMSam , hello.
I visit your web every day...it's incredible.
Can you please tell me how did you take today picture (removal zone) , just don't understand how you play with light like that....thanks
Posted by Ramiro Sabatini at August 7, 2005 09:30 AMThat is intense vertigo and shadows. Great find Sam!
Posted by Jerry Aulenbach at August 7, 2005 09:42 AMYou're the curve master!
Posted by Nicolas at August 7, 2005 10:11 AMThis is such a cool photo - looks almost futuristic! I'm really beginning to love Toronto!
Posted by Cyparissus at August 7, 2005 10:35 AMoh my goodness.....
what an interesting picture.
There's such a difference between the top half and the second half. The dark and the light.
And that building on the left... looks like there's something wrong with it, with all the odd reflections. And that city-sign on the right looks really interesting as well... with with the rainbow it makes.
I don't really know what else to say but how interesting this photo is, and how much I love it :) What a perspective!
Posted by ecila at August 7, 2005 11:44 AMDid you use a graduated filter?
Posted by Ron at August 7, 2005 11:50 AMgreat perspective!! when will you be exhibiting your photography in toronto, i'd love to see it!
Posted by Tara at August 7, 2005 11:50 AMwow the blues are amazing, like the angle
Posted by mike wbl at August 7, 2005 12:25 PMi think what puts me in awe more than anything about this photo is that the sky is so bright and obviously well lit with sun, though everything else is somewhat darker than expected. eventhough you can see the sun glare on the building. looks like some burn tool was used in this one. once again you've paired the blues n browns, which is becoming one of my favorite combinations in your photos. i like.
Posted by rich at August 7, 2005 01:44 PMAmazing shot. Makes me want to test out Photoshop CS2's new vanishing point tool. :)
Posted by Eric at August 7, 2005 02:10 PMA very vibrant capture of urban landscape, quite captivating.
Posted by Susie at August 7, 2005 02:53 PMWow! Great shot! The lengthness makes it so alive. It's almost like being there. Cool.
Posted by Binka at August 7, 2005 03:27 PMI really like the way the removal zone sign is lit. It has a lot of nice colors in it. I also like the power lines in the top of the photo.

Posted by kikko77 at August 7, 2005 06:03 PMGosh! You might receive lots of e-mails I couldn't send you one ... I don't ... really want to bother ... just, I liked very much the way you take your pictures and, it's .. the way you see the place you live, that's fantastic, I aprecciate just ... too many things I didn't see, and I can't right now ....but I hope, I hope (God knows) that my father could just let me go and study there ... yes ... that would be nice ...!! 'Cause if I were in your shoes, I'd do exactly the same ... and if I were 18 already, I'd be really doin' . bye bye ...thanks.
P.S: If you wanted any Brazil photos, I could send you some, I am used to take some pictures too, not like you, of course.
Really like the lines and color in this photo. It turns what could have been an ordinary scene into something much more livelier.
Posted by Eric at August 7, 2005 08:10 PMYour eye for composition is great. The buildings against the sky....excellent.
Posted by James at August 7, 2005 09:18 PMnice angel and perspective....different from your other works.

Posted by Aaron at August 8, 2005 01:25 AMI enjoy this perspective so much! The colors and reflections in the buildings are rich and bold - very cool. The sign has it's own interesting array of colors, and the sky looks fantastic - deep and full of contrast.
