Comments: shy cloud

wow...leave it to Sam to get that once-in-a-lifetime shot

great clarity in the color...how do you get it so crisp?

Posted by Cody at July 29, 2005 01:35 AM

That blue is a photographer's dream. Nice.

Posted by Aaron at July 29, 2005 01:44 AM

Beautiful.....I love the crispness of the shot. Very peaceful looking...

Cool beans

Posted by Mark at July 29, 2005 02:21 AM

Ah the colours of Canada.

Is it starting to cool down already, those leaves look like they are starting to change.

Great contrast of the pure white cloud against the blue of blue skies.

excellently titled photograph

Posted by nothere at July 29, 2005 03:32 AM

that lonesome cloud loves lovely in the brightness of the blue and the fresh of the green... (although i wish that dead-ish tree on the left did not protrude so much, but then again, nature isnt perfect)

lovely indeed!

Posted by hiba at July 29, 2005 03:41 AM

Quite pretty - blue, white, green. Simple. Lovely.

Posted by jamie at July 29, 2005 03:47 AM

veeery nice again...looks like anything but bad lands

Posted by siavash at July 29, 2005 03:56 AM

Was this taken with a polariser too? The blue in the sky is so saturated - the colours are great.

Any chance of throwing this up as a desktop too?

Posted by Gromski at July 29, 2005 04:48 AM

Great picture!
Only the old dead tree on the left is a bit disturbing and taking me away from the main theme - line of forest canopy with the only one shy cloud on the blue blue sky..

Beautiful Sky

Posted by Jana at July 29, 2005 07:05 AM

Such "shy" clouds in an otherwise clear sky on a hot summer day, if you only have enough time to lay back and watch them for a while, tend to melt into the blue sky, having gone through a whole range of transformations which are a pleasure to watch.
Thanks for reminding me of them.

Posted by Susie at July 29, 2005 07:49 AM

You have to make this one into a desktop!

Posted by Richard at July 29, 2005 08:28 AM

Nice shot. Beautiful.

Posted by Niko at July 29, 2005 08:28 AM

hi dear, nice shut. but I have a question, do you edit you photos? I think so ... they are so beautiful. I'm updated by the way.

Posted by Kamira at July 29, 2005 08:45 AM

Nice

Posted by امين at July 29, 2005 08:54 AM

I love the saturation of this shot; the deepening gradient of the sky is a nice visual counterpoint to the white cloud.

Posted by Grayson at July 29, 2005 09:11 AM

Shy cloud or just a part of a bigger one? ;)
Excellent composition, btw.

Posted by Thibaut at July 29, 2005 10:33 AM

This is an absolutely beautiful shot.

Posted by ELpoca at July 29, 2005 10:44 AM

nice contrast, looks like a map of somewhere!

Posted by mehdi at July 29, 2005 10:50 AM

Great work of art and especially design of the website.

Pretty and ordinary study of colors...

Posted by Ader Gotardo at July 29, 2005 10:56 AM

Love the photo and ESPECIALLY the title!

Posted by George Dunbar at July 29, 2005 12:31 PM

i like the combination of the greens and the blue. it's a refreshing sight :)

Posted by Peace at July 29, 2005 02:20 PM

an interestingly barren sky

Posted by soul clinic at July 29, 2005 02:25 PM

amazing blues and greens. i love the colors. not a great shot in my opinion. very simple.

Posted by /\/\J at July 29, 2005 02:30 PM

First comment! Woohooo. Great shot as always, mixing my two favourite colours.

Posted by Valentin P at July 29, 2005 02:34 PM

Lovely picture, really great. I'd have this framed if I could.

Posted by BCloud at July 29, 2005 03:42 PM

Beautiful, rich blue sky. Excellent reproduction. Is there any post-processing on this image? So vibrant. I need to get away from the smoggy city.

Posted by Brian at July 29, 2005 03:51 PM

Just brilliant... as usual.

Posted by Ronan at July 29, 2005 04:07 PM

where is good one if it is bad?! magnificent.

Posted by effat at July 29, 2005 06:03 PM

beautiful. i love the deep blue of the sky and the the way it looks against that green of the trees. strange that there is only one cloud in the sky though. this is an excellet capture sam.

Posted by Juwan at July 29, 2005 08:05 PM

Sam... you never fail to please... all your pictures leave me awe-struck.... I only wish I will be half as good as you one day.

It's so awesome, calm and tranquil.... you always capture the best shots.

Posted by Ali at July 29, 2005 08:28 PM

Looks like full polarization on this shot. The blue is a killer. Quite funny to have an almost single cloud like that, eh?

Posted by Hugh at July 29, 2005 08:49 PM

the color is very nice, except that cloud down there is sortof disturbing. reminds me of this background picture for windows... well thats not good i hate windows.

but anyways the color is good, i like how the sky gets lighter, gotta say its not the best of yur stuff.

Posted by Hugh at July 29, 2005 09:38 PM

u rock i love this pic its very natural i love the colors of the trees and the sky!!!!

Posted by ali at July 29, 2005 09:40 PM

What a lonely cloud. This is a beautiful sky, but it seems to be showing some jpegish marks, the gradient doesn't appear smooth to me--maybe it's my monitor? Anyway, maybe it's just me, but I thought I ought to mention it.

Posted by Chris at July 29, 2005 09:41 PM

Actually it was my monitor! sorry. The gamma went haywire. My bad.

Posted by Chris at July 29, 2005 09:43 PM

The green and blue contrast, yet compliment each other so wonderfully, the peeking cloud is just an added visual benefit. Nice selection!

Posted by TT at July 29, 2005 10:05 PM

Wow, very vibrant blues. Nice.

Posted by Raffi at July 29, 2005 10:11 PM

intersting DOF and the contrast between the green, white and blue sky along with the sun bathed treetops and the ones with shadows.

Posted by mlong at July 29, 2005 11:10 PM

sometimes itīs not that the cloud is shy...sometimes, she just prefers to be alone...

Posted by sara at July 29, 2005 11:42 PM

Presuming that's the start of a smoke signal, what does it mean? :-)

And the usual other question -- how close is the photo's blue sky to what you actually saw?

Posted by Phil at July 30, 2005 12:39 AM

Welcome to the little cloud !

Posted by sistereden at July 30, 2005 12:58 AM

Why is it always brighter at the top left corner? Is it a result of the God of top left pixel?

Posted by Boreo at July 30, 2005 11:16 AM

First time post, long time viewer. Always enjoy the pictures! My uncle took a similar picture except his is a cloud on top of a mountain and the cloud is shaped like a bear/dog thats running on top of it! Yours looks like a ...rhino with a halo... sort of.

Posted by Kathy at July 30, 2005 10:11 PM

You are, sadly, too good a photographer to be anything other than plain annoying. I go out with my cam everyday and succeed in making potentially beautiful things look mundane; you go you with yours and make mundane things look beautiful. I HATE YOU!!!

Posted by Mark Lawton at August 1, 2005 01:15 PM

What a wonderful sky! It is so rich and deep. Fantastic contrast between the sky and trees, and the colors below are absolutely beautiful.

Posted by Abe at August 3, 2005 01:15 PM

Mr. Javanrouh, I discovered your site about a month ago and have been (needless to say) amazed at your work every day since. Sincerely, thanks very much for bringing all this beauty into your readers' lives.

PS. Can we *please* have a desktop version of this one?

Posted by Luke M. at August 7, 2005 01:53 AM

Is that all you got from the area? I wonder what you were looking at while there. Makes me wonder.
