Comments: tower reflections 2

My guess is that you either took this photo leaning back (ouch!) or your posted it upside down. Either way, the effect is great.

This is wonderful, nice job.

Posted by Mo at August 1, 2005 03:21 AM

Sam, were u hanging upside down when taking this photo?

Posted by Rahul at August 1, 2005 03:38 AM

Like it ddoi- shame the sky in Toronto is the same as London at the moment!

Posted by JHO at August 1, 2005 03:42 AM

upside down, 180 degrees.... well done sam, i mean wvs

Posted by tee at August 1, 2005 03:44 AM

Makes you feel as if you are falling backwards, just like when I was a child.

So Sam, why back to then kit lens?

Posted by RobW at August 1, 2005 06:59 AM

Interesting perspective. When I was scrolling donw (up?) the image it felt like I was looking at a spaceship hovering over my head, moving slowly but relentlessly.

Posted by Susie at August 1, 2005 07:23 AM

This is a great photo and a very clever idea...but it makes me dizzy!

Posted by john at August 1, 2005 07:26 AM

Nice shot. Original sight ;)

Posted by Julien at August 1, 2005 07:50 AM

Very high tech looking. Like from a futuristic anime. I like it :)

Reflection yes but it still looks top side down. I like your stuff just wish I could see them printed full size. I bet the monitor doesn't do them justice.

Posted by Steve at August 1, 2005 09:19 AM

maaan....I start my day envying you but in quite a good way I might add. thanx for the morning cheers. keep on....

Woah. Vertigo!

Posted by dave at August 1, 2005 09:46 AM

Another great cityscape, reminds me of the film 'Independance Day' for some reason.

Posted by Paul hullock at August 1, 2005 09:48 AM

This is definately a different perspective, nice.
There is wonderful detail in the reflection!

Posted by Joe M at August 1, 2005 09:58 AM

Great perspective. Not being very good with heights, it makes me slighty queasy just to look at.

Posted by James at August 1, 2005 10:21 AM

OY YOY! Makes me dizzy just to think of how amazing this looks!! Turned 'right-side-up', shot would have an entirely different (and much less dramatic) effect!!!!

Way to go, Sam -- another superlative photo !=])

Wow, makes me dizzy. Very interesting composition. I'm sure it was very tempting to have this rotated 180° for a more traditional shot. What are those 4 shapes on the side?

Posted by Daniel Pape at August 1, 2005 10:50 AM

Great image - i like the flip, it increases the vertigo significantly and is making me very dizzy!

Posted by Mark at August 1, 2005 11:07 AM

wow, I like your creativity. great shot

Posted by Omid at August 1, 2005 11:22 AM

wow this is a cool picture, when i first loaded the page, i thought there were some dark buildings that were somehow bended by the heat, but i scrolled down and realized what it was.

this is a very cool picture!
i already said that didnt i

amazing shot!

is this a reflection? or just an inverted shot?

Posted by aashish at August 1, 2005 11:51 AM

Wheeeeeee! What a dizzying photo. Nice framing!

Posted by Ravenmn at August 1, 2005 01:37 PM

Like the effect. Nice work on this one. :)

COOL!

It's my first time commenting - but I've been visiting your site for awhile now... such neat pictures... I love the perspective on this one... ^_^

so dizzy

Posted by samantha at August 1, 2005 02:47 PM

i'm standing on my head... ;]

Posted by ps at August 1, 2005 03:26 PM

I'm lovin' it. Good choice, to flip the image and show the buildings pointing downward. I like the way office lights are visible in the building *and* in the reflected buildings, but only where the buildings overlap.

what is the meaning of an inverted reflection along the x-axis?

f'(x) = exp(-f(x), -1)

Posted by Boreo at August 1, 2005 07:22 PM

Auggh! Dizzy! Vertigo!!!

Posted by Phil at August 1, 2005 09:34 PM

Posted by Juwan at August 1, 2005 09:50 PM
